Dh wasn't watching and overheard the 'your in it for the long haul' comment to Noah at the start. Straight away dh quipped, well he is for it. Hate it when he is right!

Hobbes8 · 16/03/2015 22:08

Maybe they'll dredge up Beth's mate from the hospital to be the doctor when they bump off domestic-violence-doctor?

KingJoffreyFanciesDarylDixon · 16/03/2015 22:10

They are bad people. They've been ruthless to survive.

Rick, Michonne and Carl drove past a man begging for help and just ignored him.

They're all selfish gobshites.

Maggie has just realised this.

rallytog1 · 16/03/2015 22:11

He said they ran away and left the other ones to die.

Which is what the building site crew were also going to do until Abraham stepped in. And what the other guy did which led to Noah dying.

So it's becoming clear that in Alexandria the chosen ones/inner circle survive because they're happy to sacrifice the others. It's like Cowslips Warren as a pp said in the other thread.

Deanna has been happily keeping the people where she wants them, and now pesky Rick and his team are teaching them how to think for themselves...

EpitomeOfFrump · 16/03/2015 22:11

I have to say that episode took me by surprise! It was a lot more gruesome than the last few episodes and did anyone else notice they did the blood spatter on camera again, that's quite an effective trick.
Gabriel has to go, he tears up a bible then says Rick et al are not good people! Fucker

I think Carol just 'knows' as she went through it with Ed. The 1st time we saw her husband on the porch i said to dp, he's a wife beater.

MrsPeabody · 16/03/2015 22:12

Two things before I head to then land of nod.

Firstly, why don't they kill walkers through fences with their knives anymore? Would have taken a couple of minutes and saved them later on.

Secondly, I think the Carol storyline is too obvious. It's the first time I have been a bit disappointed with their storyline.

Actually, on a third note...loved seeing Daryl drive off on the motorbike, had been missing those shots Grin

Midori1999 · 16/03/2015 22:13

Hoorah! We can discuss it! I thought Carol suggesting Rick kills the doc rather harsh too (Even if he is guilty!) and I wonder if with that and her threatening the boy last week that she is going to die before the
end of the season/in the season finale. It's one thing to try and survive, but I think she really is too far gone. I feel a bit sad about it tbh, as I love her so much, but this has made me go off her a bit.

susiedaisy · 16/03/2015 22:13

Kingjoffery. Do you mean that you agree with the vicar??

Midori1999 · 16/03/2015 22:15

I loved Abraham this episode too. Gabriel is a fucker! He hut his parishioners out to die, who is he to criticise?

Listmaker · 16/03/2015 22:15

Gutted for poor Noah and Glenn. Bless him. I shed a little tear!

And that bastard Gabriel!

Exciting episode though. Lots going on. I'll be interested to see what you all think.

pieceofpurplesky · 16/03/2015 22:19

Motherdick. Best word ever muttered by Abraham.

susiedaisy · 16/03/2015 22:20

I think Carole's reaction is probably accurate after what she has gone through. She was viciously beaten for years by her husband and then her only child was killed. She only started living once her husband died and so killing and violence is all she has known

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 16/03/2015 22:22

It's aired?! Yes!

OH NOAH THEY DIDN'T.

anonacfr · 16/03/2015 22:22

Fucking Gabriel... How unspeakable is it to let people get eaten alive outside your church cow you're too much of a cunt to open the door??????

At least Rick and his people have been loyal to each other and not abandoned guys to die like those cunts at Alexandria.

This episode made me so cross. Poor Noah.

And I dont think Maggies realised her group was bad I think she realised how dangerous Gabriel could be to them.

After they saved his life and everything. Cunt.

Did I mention I was angry? Angry

KingJoffreyFanciesDarylDixon · 16/03/2015 22:23

I don't know.

The vicar may have a point. He may not.

Rick left Merle on the roof, remember? He murdered Shane. He drove past the helpless bloke.

He told the group that 'this was no longer a democrasy' and they had to do what he was told.

He cold shouldered Lori while she was pregnant because she disagreed about killing Shane.

He's hot. But he's not 'the good guy'.

Carol's not much better...

Glenn and Maggie are just doing what they have to do to be together. Maggie didn't even bother looking for Beth when they were separated - only cared about Glenn.

Daryl has been willing to drop the lot of them several times.

They're in it for themselves. They need each other. They don't care about each other unless they were already connected.

Tyrese was the only exception. He was nice.

Midori1999 · 16/03/2015 22:25

I thought Abraham said 'I'm a dick'?

Anon, I agree about Maggie.

Now that DD has finally decided to go to sleep I can watch and then go to bed.

KingJoffreyFanciesDarylDixon · 16/03/2015 22:28

I thought he said 'rubber dick'.

Which now I think about it makes no sense.

Notrevealingmyidentity · 16/03/2015 22:31

They aren't good people because good people don't survive.

Will be interested to see how it plays out. How far will they go is the question this time.

TheVolatileMolatov · 16/03/2015 22:31

It was motherdick - should definitely be the name of the next thread. Grin

anonacfr · 16/03/2015 22:32

Rick lleft Merle with the keys.

He killed Shane who was about to kill him.

He cold shouldered Lori when he realised that she had lied to him about Shane and the baby. She was the one who convinced him that Shane was dangerous to start with.

Unlike most of the 'friendly' Alxandria folk he does acknowledge that he has done horrible thing but ultimately he is loyal to his people.

Gabriel OTOH has not shown an ounce of loyalty either to his parishioners or to the people who saved and protect him.

By the way OH NOAH THEY DIDNT- next thread title NO CONTEST.

Midori1999 · 16/03/2015 22:32

I didn't think Rick did leave Merle. Tdog had the key, he dropped it?

I think they're all just doing what they have to to survive, but I don't think that means they are only out for themselves or don't care about each other. Carol and Tyrese both tried to protect Judith, Lizzy and her sister. Even though they were more likely to die doing so. Daryl put his life on the line to protect/stay with Beth and tried to find her. So did Carol. Daryl also offered himself to Joe if he left Rick alone.

They've all done things they would never have done before. That's what is about, isn't it? I don't think it means they're bad.

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 16/03/2015 22:32

Satan disguises himself as the angel of light.

Truer words never spoken, Gabriel, you fuckin' turncoat.

Notrevealingmyidentity · 16/03/2015 22:33

I'm must be a real bitch because the guy who caused Noah to die... I wis thinking I'd have left him there for the zombies and told everyone else he'd died.

susiedaisy · 16/03/2015 22:34

I also think Maggie realised that Gabriel is a fucker and will tell Glenn and Rick. I think Gabriel himself is satan disguised as the angel of light
