just watched on catch up

it just gets better and better. I love it.

the bit at the end, though. When she got the call and had to lie on the floor in Waitrose, and then told Rob the amnio result was ok- then the little bit in the taxi queue, with the little girl with Down's

did that mean that the baby has Down's, and that she didn't want to tell him?

DON'T MAKE ME WATCH IT AGAIN

For a comedy that touched my heart so much, I'm going to rewatch it.
I too think the baby has Down's.

aoife24 · 11/02/2015 22:26

I do like Sharon Horgan generally but for some reason I can't quite put my finger on this just makes me feel a bit depressed but I think maybe I am a bit depressed so that does't really help.

Pomegranatemolasses · 12/02/2015 13:32

Muddha you've just made my heart race! Why did I not think of that? i think you're right, the baby has Downs.

I couldn't figure out why they showed the scene at the end with the little girl, and the Donovan song. I assumed I suppose that they wanted to show the other side of the story, and that it was a slightly cheesy nod to the 'other' reality.

Dh questioned this and I was quite superior with him, as normally he's as thick as two short planks at subtle messages. Dammit, I may have to eat my words now!

that whole sequence, with that particular song, was so beautifully done

I just love that they can manage the switch between hilarious/moving without it being clunky at all

it made me all sniffly

I think Sharon Horgan is definitely a MNetter.....that bit about the shoe free home? I was waiting for the characters to be offered an 'artisanal slipper' like in that thread from yesteryear! Totally in love with the programme, can't wait for next episode!

Pomegranatemolasses · 13/02/2015 23:40

Just watched the rerun, and with fresh eyes, I do feel the amnio result was not good.

Absolutely love this show, can't wait for next episode.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/02/2015 14:52

I assumed her baby had downs coz of the last scene

HeeHiles · 16/02/2015 23:33

Glad there's a thread about this - I rarely actually laugh at so called 'comedies' but this is so funny - loving Carrie Fisher as the evil MIL Grin

AppleYumYum · 16/02/2015 23:51

It didn't occur to me last episode that maybe the baby did have downs and like a poster below I was a bit confused by the last scene, but it made sense when someone said below!

Although after tonight's episode I'm not so sure, perhaps it was just a 'even if it had he/she would be just as lovely' moment?

So funny, I loving this series Grin

iamthedanger · 17/02/2015 19:53

See, I read that last scene with the little girl as a mixture of conflicted feelings, guilt for needing to know and not being sure of what she would do with the information...I'm probably wrong. I normally am Smile. Haven't watched this weeks yet. Excellent watching.

Pomegranatemolasses · 19/02/2015 13:10

Yes, regarding amnio I now think it probably was all clear. Otherwise she wouldn't have been able to appear so light hearted in this weeks episode.

I absolutely love this show. Best thing that's been on tv in ages.

Birdiegirl · 19/02/2015 13:30

Absolutely love this programme, SH is brilliant. DH and I are both Irish, living in England so really love her sense of humour.

JohnFarleysRuskin · 19/02/2015 22:06

It's a great show-
I don't think the intention is to suggest the baby has downs at all. It was very nicely done- this child was what she feared most - and then she saw how lovely the child was... I thought it was a great treatment of such serious issues. And this week was great too- with the ex-gf shadow.

Seeker33 · 20/02/2015 11:37

I watched on episode

BeCoolItWasMeWotKilledLucy · 20/02/2015 12:41

my fav show at the moment - love it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/02/2015 14:55

stalking the ex gf was funny on fb

and her call to mil

DubbyDubby · 23/02/2015 22:32

anyone watch tonight's episode?

AppleYumYum · 23/02/2015 22:46

Yes! Didn't realise it was the last in the series tonight. What a crazy ending, how did that wedding night in the hotel go so wrong!

DubbyDubby · 23/02/2015 23:11

I know Blush how many weeks preg is she supposed to be - I can't remember?

molyholy · 23/02/2015 23:21

I started watching this by accident but I love it and am going to miss it Sad

Moanranger · 23/02/2015 23:43

Great ending! Due to title, you know every scene is going to turn into a horror show, the delight is seeing just how they do it. Like the last scene looked like a no going back break up, then gets flipped on its head when she goes into labour. And it has the best group of misfits & losers as characters - wonderful!
