Last night's made for really uncomfortable viewing. I'm glad they showed it though. It's a really consuming part of the job, dealing with false accusations.

I remember asking one of the local custody sergeants what he would do if he had a bfing woman in custody and he said in 25 years he'd never had to deal with it as a situation.

trufflehunterthebadger · 21/01/2015 19:13

I was thinking that too, Showy. As a passionate BFing advocate i would find that a very challenging situation to deal with. Although ime pregnancy and babies are often used by serial female offenders to get out of being dealt with

looks like domestic violence this week

I just missed that bit with the young lad. What did he try to do to get all the officers running in?

Nicknacky · 27/01/2015 21:18

He put something around his neck, I think it was his jeans.

ilovechristmas1 · 27/01/2015 21:21

most seem to be drink related

What a first class prick that Terry is. Angry

mousmous · 27/01/2015 21:31

argh the 'no comment'...
the interviewing officers must have training in self restraint.

Nicknacky · 27/01/2015 21:33

I interview and you get used to "no comment". And every single time they look at you smugly like they are the first person to have ever thought to do it lol.

It throws you when they talk!

DollyParsnip · 27/01/2015 22:04

Could I just ask if anyone knows why some of the people in custody have solicitors and some don't? Is it down to their choice to have one or not?

ilovechristmas1 · 27/01/2015 22:07

yes you get offerred one,it's up to you what you decide

DollyParsnip · 28/01/2015 09:37

I thought so, thank you for clarifying!

ChoochiWoo · 28/01/2015 13:33

Raphael should have had someone assisting him in that interview

trufflehunterthebadger · 28/01/2015 22:32

Lots of detainees are frequent visitors and know the drill, they just want to get out and waiting for duty can hold that up as they have to wait for disclosure and then consultation time. That can easily hold you up for an hour plus, depending on the time of day and distance of the duty lawyer from custody

we aren't allowed to suggest either way

ChoochiWoo · 04/02/2015 14:22

Suprised this hasn't blown up given last nights topic
