I bet he told her they cud runaway to Australia! Pending a few spinning cards...

Hillingdon · 26/01/2015 20:05

Glad someone mention the teeth, having just paid £4k for braces for DS....

Just seen this eposide - You were all spot on, she was hard as nails and that poor son. Really unusual to see a young chap show his feelings like this.

Great to see someone with a good budget but did they include childcare in their sums if she was going back to work?

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 26/01/2015 21:47

£4k for braces? OMG.

I found the little girl's speech quite hard to understand to be honest. Forget how old she was and she was obviously quite excited, but I still couldn't follow her sometimes.

Never had to have much dental work for our DCs so all that's a mystery to me.

Hillingdon · 26/01/2015 22:18

It's a 2 year course for the braces and includes all the various checks every few months and of course the braces themselves.

Of course you could always join the 18 month waiting list.

sailorsgal · 27/01/2015 06:43

well you can get perfectly good orthodontic treatment for children on the NHS. I looked at both and ds's orthodontist said the treatment would be exactly the same so why pay. I guess it could be different from place to place.

DS1 had two years of braces on the NHS. The teeth have to be measured to check they are 'out' to certain measurements. If it's just cosmetic the NHS won't do it.

Morning. Here we go again. Looks like some more ditherers. Hmm

meglet · 27/01/2015 09:17

I've got a bonus WDU day. DD is off sick so I'm going to allow myself to indulge again.

Sparklingbrook · 27/01/2015 09:18

Morning meglet. I have loads to do. Will start at 10am. definitely.

Sparklingbrook · 27/01/2015 09:20

Is Australia really that fascinating? Confused

meglet · 27/01/2015 09:21

we have zoo's and parks and beaches over here.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 27/01/2015 09:21

Checking in.

Unfortunately two year old DS has developed a violent aversion to their cushions and is standing in front of the TV pointing and shrieking in horror at them so can't hear anything.

Sparklingbrook · 27/01/2015 09:22

No we don't meglet don't be daft. Grin

Morning Gobbolino.

Vagndidit · 27/01/2015 09:22

Wow--Cannot imagine spending your entire life in the same street. She's not going anywhere.

susiedaisy · 27/01/2015 09:22

I'm watching

ShatnersBassoon · 27/01/2015 09:23

She sounds like Philomena Cunk. I like that she laughed at him for suggesting they'd start climbing stuff once they were in Australia Grin

susiedaisy · 27/01/2015 09:23

Vag. I thought the same

Sparklingbrook · 27/01/2015 09:23

Why on earth didn't he move to Australia when he was young free n single rather than waiting to have a family in the UK.

Those floor tiles look slippy

Sparklingbrook · 27/01/2015 09:28

These houses do nothing for me. Sad

Vagndidit · 27/01/2015 09:28

Off to Rightmove to see what 250k gets you in Rochdale...

susiedaisy · 27/01/2015 09:29

She won't leave family in the UK unless her daughter can have a fantastic life in Australia, the houses won't sway her at all IMO
