Well I totally thought that Victoria was dead! Nice to see Louise doing the right thing by passing on the hoody- I think she'll be bumped off by Courtney next.

tribpot · 07/06/2015 19:29

Have I caught up with the thread just before the final episode airs? That's good, I wanted to do my eulogy too. Quite agree that we love Nolan's wardrobe more than life itself.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 07/06/2015 21:57

hey tribpot yes you are just in time! we still haven't watched penultimate episode - DH s faffing about, driving me bonkers!

We should do a Farewell Quiz

my favourite Nolan outfit has to be the white suit with the red shirtSmile

tribpot · 07/06/2015 22:33

Time for me to note my prediction from Series whatever (2?) that St Declan shall Rise Again ...

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 08/06/2015 03:15

oh ST Declain...RIP
Grin

so we did watch it and bloody hell - Vic totally fooled me.
but I figured out Ben would be in trouble as soon as Marg picked up the phone. she is such a bitch.

I think Amanda should get sentenced, do the time then pull a double jeopardy - killing Vic and get away scot free.

any chance of Jack & Amanda getting married?

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 08/06/2015 21:05

fasten your seat belts, start your revengines - this is IT! Grin

Duckdeamon · 09/06/2015 07:39

Jack is just too short. No-one could match up to Aiden!

trevortrevorslatterfry · 09/06/2015 09:24

ha haaaaa heart transplant!!

I thought it was a bit cobbled together really but never mind.

Is there any chance of Nolan getting a dreadful spin-off show?

tribpot · 09/06/2015 10:05

But Jack and Amanda were destined. It was Foretold.

I would have gone for a Hamlet style ending with everyone dead (since St Declan did not Rise as he should have done).

I loved the way David went from 'going to pull through' to 'near death' in one episode, not unlike Nolan's bizarre relationship. I wonder if there was some frantic rewriting in the last couple of episodes to round everything off (although why Nolan couldn't have found true love I've no idea).

But farewell, then, Revenge - we have enjoyed taking the piss out of your ludicrous storylines, and particularly when it appeared the writers were playing a game of Consequences and each writing a scene without reference to the one that came before or after.

As the show is on Netflix, I wonder if we should have a ceremonial re-watch after the summer?

ChaiseLounger · 09/06/2015 11:37

I cent believe they managed to tie up all the loose ends!

Charlotte and the heart transplant made my blood run cold. Was that a dream? Or does Charlotte really hate Emily that much?

And what was the end but? Where Nolan , re the embezzlement said 'well played Amanda'. Well played, in what way?

tribpot · 09/06/2015 12:32

I think that was giving Nolan a new case to work on, so he could continue the 'Revenge-da' whilst she's off playing happy families with Jack. Nolan is to become a caped crusader (in the literal sense, knowing him) righting wrongs through the power of his ethical hacking.

Convenient that Victoria was a tissue match for Emily-Amanda. Just a way of putting that final sting in the tale or hinting at something more? We shall never know! (Unless they do 'Revenge: The Movie' in a couple of years' time)

Coco0123 · 09/06/2015 14:33

Ah can't believe it's all over. Felt a bit rushed last night, should have been a 2 hour special!
What was meant to have happened to Mason then??
Felt a bit sorry for Margaux, all got too much for her in the end didn't it!
Even had some sympathy for Victoria, she hadn't had an easy life from a very young age had she.

Agree that Nolan should have got more of a well deserved happy ending Sad

Coco0123 · 09/06/2015 14:35

So what to watch now, any ideas??Grin

ChaiseLounger · 09/06/2015 16:22

You felt sorry coco? Seriously? My hatred for Margaux and Victoria was even stronger.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 09/06/2015 17:51

if you have Netflix watch Person Of Interest (but hands off Jim Caviezel, he is mine Wink Grin ), White Collar, Suits and 24

Coco0123 · 09/06/2015 22:21

chaise I know I shouldn't have felt sorry for them, going soft in my old age! Thought the scene with Victoria finding out who her father was was a bit gut wrenching though! And Margaux so very quickly gave herself up in the end, very noble of her! No match for our Ems & Nolan Grin

Zing I've got all the 24 series & never bothered with it, will give it a try as heard how good it is but it somehow never appealed. Not got Netflix unfortunately.

ILikeToClean · 10/06/2015 12:40

Only just caught up! Yes I thought it was very rushed too. I laughed at how easily she broke out of prison, Victoria turning up to her own funeral (which surely would have been the society event of the year?) not even bothering to disguise herself and how easily they pieced everything together (ooh what's that on the floor? Is it blood? Let me find a wig and glasses...oh here they are!).

But then I cried a bit when David died and they got married!

Did anyone else think when Jack mentioned them sailing off in the boat that it might blow up or something and that would be the end?! I'm obviously a suspicious old cynic!

Not sure about the Charlotte twist, real or dreamed thought it was a nice touch. I thought Nolan's love interest would turn up at the end instead of a new "client" so it wasn't as cliched as I thought it would be!

All in all I loved the craziness, the rich and beautiful people, gorgeous houses and clothes and would quite like to re watch from the beginning. Pure trash but so enjoyable!

Listmaker · 10/06/2015 15:48

Hi ladies. Ah what will we do without good old Revenge eh?!

Yes hilarious final episode. Amanda survives yet another shooting and gets to live happily ever after.

Like some of you I was waiting for Nolan's love interest to show up and say I want you after all, come and adopt with me - but wasn't to be. What was the point of that one?!

And yes a very low key funeral for Victoria - clearly ran out of money for extras! And no one saw her of course! Bonkers.

I will miss it but don't think even I could have stood another season of it Grin

TobikkoRoll · 10/06/2015 15:54

I missed the bit about Victoria's father - can someone enlighten me please??

Such a manic final episode, squeezing everything in. Agree it would be the bees' knees for Nolan to get his own spin off show Grin

I'm gonna miss the glam hair, mad plot, the hair, strange characters pulling u-turns and the hair! Never a strand out of place.

Hullygully · 10/06/2015 15:55

It's all over...can it really be so?

EachandEveryone · 10/06/2015 17:15

Yes. I've just started watching brothers and sisters again to fill the Emanda hole. She always gets the hotties her fella in this is gorgeous too. What an episode I'm as confused as the day I first watched it all those years ago. I'm so confused I don't really know why they wanted Victoria killed at the end! Hadn't Em done enough damage along the way? She'd wiped out Victorias family including her grandchild. I actually thought the boat was going to blow up too. Even if she does have Victorias heart it's better than the other option so it wouldn't really matter.

Frankly, I'm glad it's all over, it's been a long few years.

tribpot · 10/06/2015 17:43

I think the revelation was that Victoria's father was the man she thought was her step-father, who had abused her (not, I think, the father of Patrick although who knows).

Reading this interview, I think the plan may have been to kill Victoria in the fire and it was only when they realised they didn't have another series to tie all the ends up that they resurrected her just long enough to finish the story. How it could have survived without any Graysons in is a mystery, though.

EachandEveryone · 10/06/2015 18:36

You're going to have to remind me what happened to Patrick.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 10/06/2015 19:01

Patrick went to some art school on a scholarship I think. Italy IIRC

I really hope it is the end of it. It's good left like this. Nolan could have a spin off - maybe I'd watch it. It might even be pretty good, after all Frasier became a much bigger succes than Cheers ever was.

Duckdeamon · 10/06/2015 22:04

Watching it now, totally crazy blood-and-miraculous-recovery-fest! All over the shop.

I fancied the actor playing David when he was in Men in Trees (v sadly cancelled), still handsome but the doting Dad to an adult role is a bit of a turn-off.

Nolan and Louise sure can carry off clothes!
