Yes, really. Because they are so similar and everything. I think they have done this before with exactly the same songs.

Tonight, the songs are

Andrea Faustini
Somebody To Love

Paul Akister
Don’t Stop Me Now

Lauren Platt
I’ll Be There

Stereo Kicks
You Are Not Alone

Only The Young
Blame It On The Boogie

Ben Haenow
Man In The Mirror

Fleur East
Will You Be There

Jay James
The Show Must Go On

Stevi Ritchie
Bohemian Rhapsody

I'm watching it on catch-up now- I've just got to the bit about Ben and his brother who was in danger of losing his hearing. I still think they could have made it work: Ben could be "Hey Now", and is brother could be "Eh now?" Grin

BOFster · 09/11/2014 01:24

Ah, and now I'm coming up to Stevi "The Most Experienced Man In Showbiz" Ritchie.

slithytove · 09/11/2014 08:30
Confused
LeonardoAcropolis · 09/11/2014 10:17

We caught the first 10 minutes of the Xtra Factor last night (mess of a programme) and Louis Walsh didnt seem to know the names of the members of Only the Young Confused. How much do you think the judges actually mentor their contestants?

Fixerupperz · 09/11/2014 10:23

It was Lee Nelson who crashed masterb8s performance haha!!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 09/11/2014 13:40

I don't normally post on here, more of a lurker, but really Nananina, it's meant to be a fun thread. If you find people on here tedious, maybe it's not the right thread for you.

NanaNina · 09/11/2014 14:51

Yeah I know whoknows but I can't resist it!!! I'm only really playing devil's advocate and enjoy reading the thread.........and everyone ignores what I say anyway!!

slithytove · 09/11/2014 14:59

They might be obeying the adage "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". I know that's what I did upon reading your post.

Thanks for your post whoknows you replied better than I could.

slithytove · 09/11/2014 15:02

nina maybe consider starting your own thread if you want niceness and acknowledgement of your posts (neither guaranteed of course).

Most posts on this thread go unanswered. And I know this has been explained to you before. It's too fast moving, it mainly is a stream of consciousness from lots of people. Fun to read and participate in, not easy to respond to.

LittleBairn · 09/11/2014 15:23

Nana do you know James? You seems to be taking it so personally, very stange for someone who is a stranger to you.
Plenty of us are complimentary when we see something we like unfortunately its been a fairly crap year. I doubt any of us are frightened to give our real opinions. This isn't high school its MN most of us are pretty capable of expressing an opinion, especially an unpopular one.
It's an X factor thread FFS.

slithytove · 09/11/2014 15:59

this makes him seem like a twat. With twatty hair and twatty facial expressions. And he isn't that good a singer.

RudolphUcker · 09/11/2014 16:36

Nobody ever answers me and I have been on this thread since the dawn of time
Also agree with slithy about your man ^^. He looks like the action figure of the boyband member nobody likes, left on the shelves in Toys R Us in their millions. Coming to a B&M Bargains near you soon, for a disappointing Christmas.

squoosh · 09/11/2014 16:36

I don't mind Nana's acerbic comments. She's like a mum giving hungover teenagers her best pursed lip expression the morning after a drunken house party.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 09/11/2014 16:41

Maybe she is actually Nan..Nina Wink

RudolphUcker · 09/11/2014 16:43

ARF at Boffles and eh now.
trumpets and ear trumpets for Big Band week then

LineRunner · 09/11/2014 17:20

I love hating the X-factor.

Raahh · 09/11/2014 17:24

Do we need a new thread for the results, do you think?

OP posts:
NanaNina · 09/11/2014 17:25

Oh gawd you're all taking me far too seriously and yes slitytove I do understand that the thread is a stream of consciousness and I'm honestly not looking for a response or "niceness" - I just like posting my views - I'm just a harmless old woman! Rest assured I consider myself "put in my place" Grin Grin Grin

And no littlbairn I don't know James. I just like his voice - is that ok to say on the thread......or can I only take the piss like everyone else does?

Acerbic comment squoosh - means "bitter in speech manner or temper" think you've got the wrong word there if I may make so bold - and naaaw I'm not a lip's purser....sorry.... but Fanjo you have me baffled - Nan..Nina anyway enough of this - please don't take me seriously - I love X Factor and I enjoy this thread that's why I read it and realise that the emphasis is on piss taking..........and don't worry I don't want/need replies. Smile

RudolphUcker · 09/11/2014 17:27

I need replies. Just so's you all know.
I don't mind, Raah. Probably yes?

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 09/11/2014 17:27

Nan Nina was a reference to guy fromat year who was always going on about his Nan

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 09/11/2014 17:28

From.last year..sorry..bumpy road in car. Not driving

Raahh · 09/11/2014 17:28

I always wonder what happens to all the dolls that don't get sold? Do they get melted down to make the next 'big thing'?

Like these Union J scary eyes

Of course, it would help if i knew what they were meant to look like. Grin

OP posts:
RudolphUcker · 09/11/2014 17:30

They get made into the JLS condoms. trufact.

Raahh · 09/11/2014 17:38

Is that a step up, or down? Rudy

RESULTS THREAD! RESULTS THREAD!!

OP posts:
squoosh · 10/11/2014 10:33

Acerbic comment squoosh - means "bitter in speech manner or temper" think you've got the wrong word there

I know exactly what 'acerbic' means hence why I used it. Because your manner does seem quite acidic. Maybe it isn't intentional but it certainly bounces off the screen.
