Why are they re mixing these up beat songs to sound a real dirge? They made the 80s dull on x factor ( they were not ) now this with the perfume ad.. Bet J Lewis ad will do something similar too soon.. Where will it end?

Philoslothy · 18/10/2014 22:49

I ....... Wiiiisshhhh ..........it.........coooouuuld..... Beeeeeee............... C..h..r..I...s....t....m....a....s ...................eveeeeeeeeerrrrrrryyyyyydayyyyyyyy.

And sung at that speed it probably means that by the time you have finished singing it is advent again.

MrsVamos · 18/10/2014 22:50

JL could really screw us up and do 'Step into Christmas' or something and have us all bewildered at having to smile and think happy thoughts.

MrsVamos · 18/10/2014 22:52

As long as they don't do "When A Child Is Born'.

I lost my little boy to stillbirth, I think if they did I'd have to hibernate.

Gets me every year.

MrsVamos · 18/10/2014 22:53

Sorry, that's morbid. Sad

MrsVamos · 18/10/2014 22:54

Quick, someone raise the mood !

Are you hanging up your stocking on the wall ?

Philoslothy · 18/10/2014 22:55

Maybe they could start speeding songs up, a skiffle version of silent night perhaps?

Spoonme · 18/10/2014 22:57

Did anyone see Lola The Fishmonger pull it off; and then, immediately after being congratulated by Dermot, he said, 'double eviction tomorrow night!'

Lola's face dropped.

TheFairyCaravan · 18/10/2014 23:00

We really need Nanfucker back for the sake of the thread.

MrsVamos · 18/10/2014 23:05

Maybe we should all vote to keep Stevi in ?

At least it should be uptempo for 5 minutes.

slithytove · 18/10/2014 23:07

Me too mrsV, it's away in a manger which gets me.

"No crying he makes". Instant floods.

MrsVamos · 18/10/2014 23:09

Yup, slithy.

You wait till Olivia is singing it at school.

Springcleanish · 18/10/2014 23:12

Just finished on catch up, OMG, wish I hadn't bothered. Off to find a music channel playing real 80’s cheese to cheer myself up...

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 19/10/2014 07:49

Are we keeping this thread for tonight?

I'm going for Stephanie to leave tonight .

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 19/10/2014 07:49

One too many tonight's in that last post.Blush

VivaLeBeaver · 19/10/2014 07:54

Below is copied and pasted from the daily mail. Either the reporter has a sense of humour or is as thick as mince,

'You sang like an angel tonight,' Kermit said, as well as some stuff about a butterfly.

CalamitouslyWrong · 19/10/2014 09:52

Just wait til we get the requiem version of ghostbusters in two weeks time...

Apparently fleur was in the xfactor live shows years ago as part of addictiv ladies who went out because the judges saved Chico. Anyone remember? (I can remember Chico but not addictiv ladies).

CalamitouslyWrong · 19/10/2014 09:53

That lot. From series 2, back in the days when 80s night meant upbeat songs presumably.

CalamitouslyWrong · 19/10/2014 10:02

Ah, back in the days when the producers immediately played the original after you'd mangled it so everyone could see how inferior your version was.

CalamitouslyWrong · 19/10/2014 10:11

And clunt has already released a whole album of sub-james blunt shite.

Can't think how this single passed me by Hmm

CalamitouslyWrong · 19/10/2014 10:14

Look at that neck hair...

X-FACTOR 18/10- It's 80's night! pt2
HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 19/10/2014 14:54

Seriously. He already had an album ??!? Of shit??!?

How on earth is he allowed on? Although I suppose Katie Weasel had a single or two didn't she? But what about previous seasons where people got booted off for having had a previous recording contract?

I guess consistent application of all the same rules to all the contestants has never been a strong point of the X Factor.

I mean who am I to expect fairness and a level playing field Grin

So that is Fakey and Fleur who have all been on before with not one word from the producers, and Clunt as a failed solo artist. And they wonder why viewers are getting cynical!!

At least with Flobbie they are up front about it.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 19/10/2014 14:57

What are we going to call Flobbie if he keeps losing weight? He will need a new NN.

Jill2015 · 19/10/2014 15:15

Catching up today and the thread is keeping me more amused than watching and listening to the contestants Grin

Tiredemma · 19/10/2014 16:04

Lol @ 'an album of shit'
