Corrie thread - still no sign of Cilla or Fat Brenda but Kim Tate on the horizon

Here we are again - a brand new thread for more Corrie ramblings.

Can't believe Cilla still hadn't turned up by the end of the last thread.

Still hoping for an enormous cast-cull. Hoping for a bomb / gas explosion / serial killer / all of the previous.

Anna's husband was Eddie who was in The Full Monty. He went to Germany to work IIRC.

I did remember something about Peter getting a flower shop out of it but couldn't picture her! Suppose it probably was about ten years ago

I think they'll try to pin it on Carla and Rob will be all sullen stares and bad moods and he'll have a few fights with Traceyluv, but he'll be found out in the end.

Oh yes Pasta. Les and Eddie sort of merge in my brain. Uncomfortable!

Anna and Eddie weren't actually married, but she had taken his surname.

Wasn't Uncle Albert the uncle of Ken's first wife, Valerie?

Report
WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/10/2014 14:01

I'm not sure. Was she Peter's mother? They could be related in that case.

Report
WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/10/2014 14:06

Ah yes, she was. I can't imagine him with Simon style curly locks though.

Valerie had twins,Peter and Susan. After she was killed by a hair-drier they went to live with her parents in Scotland. Susan was killed in a car-crash leaving a son; one of Ken's many grandchildren, but it's too confusing to work out who they all are .

Simon's mother (the florist), was called Lucy. She had a particularly fair complexion, IMO. I watched the episode recently where she and Shelley confronted Peter about his bigamy.
On a separate note, I wish they would chop Our Si's hair a bit.

Uncle Albert was Ken's uncle, as far as I remember. Ken used to live with him, and yes, he was a cranky creature.

I think it will be a not guilty verdict because he is due to leave shortly, and if he gets sent down, they will need him around longer.

Sorry, Val's uncle, not Ken's although Ken took care of him for years, I think.

Don't remember ever seeing oooonkle Albert walk. He seemed pasted to his chair.

Uncle Albert was Val's uncle so Peter's great uncle. His Mum was Lucy, very fair and very pretty. Lucy was Traceyluv's boss at the flower shop. Peter married both her and Shelley at the same time and both dumped him when they found out which is why he didn't have anything to do with him until Lucy died.

Poor Simon has experienced his mum dying then living with his (alcoholic) Dad, then got close to Leanne and saw her as Mum, only for her and Peter to split up. He hated Carla and lived with Nick and Leanne, then having bonded with Nick they split up and Peter has an affair with Tina! Poor Simon mustn't know whether he is coming or going!

Maria's character is the one that irritates me the most. They don't seem to have any ideas for her except pointless or doomed relationships.

Next is Andrea. I think Lloyd could be so fab but he is given rubbish storylines and his comedy skills totally underused. He and Andrea really bug me how affronted they get by her x. They seem to forget that Andrea dumped him after a long marriage for Lloyd. I thought she was after Steve at first so maybe she was just desperate to find someone new. Either way get rid and let Lloyd have some fun.

I think it will be not guilty for Peter which will reopen the whole whodunit thing, finally exposing Rob.

Took so long to write that other posts appeared.

Ken and Uncle Albert were very close as Ken's family lived next door and Ken didn't get along with his own Dad. When Valley died Ken stayed living with him.

You are right though he permanently lived in the chairSmile. I hope he had his pressure areas checked!
