given up halfway - the medway houseboat comes to mind.
I liked it, but it is a bit on the small side (though probably just right for them as a couple).
like the fishtail cladding. imagine that in green copper.
the services will be flexible so they can move up or down. they do whole appartment block with this system in the netherlands so the technology s available.

for getting in and out the have walkways with the same 'dolphin' system. and then ramps like on tidal bowt jetties.

I can see what you are saying, Mausmaus, but in this week's build the access was at the front (riverside) and back of the house with roof to ground zinc cladding on both sides and the dolphins were on the clad sides. There didn't seem to have been any provision for walkway dolphins on either of the sides with access - well, not any that I could see.

On a separate point, we have a couple recorded and only just got around to watching the one with the very, very brightly sage/pink coloured one the other night. I really loved how colourful it was, but DH would never go for such a wild colour scheme in our house so I'll just have to covet the sheer abandon of that project from afar.
