We've got to wait til the new year for the next 8 episodes. I'll probably forget to watch.

cardoon · 09/09/2014 17:10

We'll be here to remind you WW

thinks about asking MNHQ to delete o0's picture post Grin

o0 · 09/09/2014 17:14

Maybe we can can get them to change it to a kilty handsome one? Grin

o0 · 09/09/2014 17:15

Can can? Now I'm imagining him doing the can can in his kilt or plaid!

WillowWoods · 09/09/2014 17:58

I may not forget cardoon, due to Jamie Wink

Sunnymeg · 14/09/2014 15:56

Episode 6 is amazing! Tobias Menzies totally nailed BlackJack.

LeapingOverTheWall · 14/09/2014 17:07

looking forward to watching this tonight once the DC have gone to bed Smile.

LeapingOverTheWall · 14/09/2014 21:33

wow, just wow! What acting skill, keeping that whole long scene going pretty much single handed Shock.

Not enough hot men in kilts though Sad, although next week should make up for that Wink. Although do hot men not in their kilts count [ponders][surfs Youtube for evidence]

WillowWoods · 17/09/2014 11:56

Just watched. Another excellent episode, and yes,Jack bloody Randall! Poor Clare, although she should have fun teaching Jamie a few tricks next week Smile

LeapingOverTheWall · 20/09/2014 15:34

Almost time for the wedding Smile

well then [mops brow, takes a deep breath]. I think that episode deserves a second and third and fourth viewing to get um a firm grasp um of the erm Scottish political situation. Yes, politics definitely. Ahem.

Viviennemary · 21/09/2014 11:43

I loved the first three or four books then only read bits of the others. They were so long and too many boring bits. And the daughter was an awful character. Was it Briana or something.

Vivacia · 21/09/2014 19:28

The wedding. Finally. They certainly didn't rush it.

WillowWoods · 22/09/2014 15:07

Ooerr! DS thought I was watching pornGrin

Sunnymeg · 25/09/2014 20:49

Starz have just announced that after episode 8 there will be a break until 4th April when they will then start showing the remaining episodes. This gives me hope for a UK channel picking it up as six months in a very large gap in the middle of a series. I think someone will buy it and show it as a complete series early next year.

SconeRhymesWithGone · 28/09/2014 00:45

I think this picture needs to be on this thread.

I don't find this Jamie sexy Sad

He is much taller and broader in my mind.

theclockticksslowly · 28/09/2014 01:12

I was a massive diana Galbaldon fan and was so excited when I heard about the series and I haven't been disappointed. Beautifully shot, great acting on the whole and...

Jamie... Mmm...

Having watched the wedding episode I'm not surprised a previous poster's DS thought they were watching porn!!! In fact I must watch it again just to make sure it wasn't... Wink

We have to wait until April for more?!

Redglitter · 28/09/2014 01:12

I just don't see Sam as Jamie either. I know people will argue that in the books Jamie if 6 ft 4 and Sams 6 ft 3 but in the books Jamies always described as being head and shoulders taller than people he comes across as very striking and his mere size/build commands respect. I can't see Sam in any way this imposing figure.

Was disappointed in the wedding would have preferred less soft porn and more of them connecting and getting to know each other.

SconeRhymesWithGone · 28/09/2014 01:21

But his acting is just close to perfect. He captures Jamie's youthful exuberance, sense of humor, vulnerability, and affability so well. And there are so many physical nuances in his performance that are easy to pick up on especially on the 6th or 7th viewing some of which he obviously got from the books.

SconeRhymesWithGone · 28/09/2014 01:22

And to add, overall the quality of all the acting performances is very high.

DrCoconut · 28/09/2014 19:44

o0, my DH is a Jacobite re enactor too, it's how we met and we go as a family now, though not so much so this year. Do we know you/him I wonder? We risk outing ourselves by giving identifying details.
As for outlander, I got bored after the first couple of books. It became too much of a good thing and very convoluted. The first book alone was great and I always said they should film it. Will watch if and when it becomes available here.

LeapingOverTheWall · 28/09/2014 22:13

well, mid series finale not where I thought it was going to be (although I did wonder how they'd pack in so much story to get there). Bit of extra stuff not from the book, but still part of the storyline.

No naked Jamie though this week Sad. We do get Masterful Jamie though Wink
