It looks like the tennis starts on the red button today, can't see anywhere that its on bbc1 or 2 earlier.

Unless they just haven't updated the schedule.

Surely they are cancelling their usual BBC1 during the day tripe? If Bargain Hunt gets precedence over Wimbledon I'll be flabbergasted.

Unfortunately I might not get to see much until later as currently job hunting and have an interview at lunchtime.

Btw agree with all re developing Nick's game. He does make some great shots but they are less frequent than they need to be.

Hi all!

Just popping in as am really busy at work so won't get to watch much today I agree it's rubbish that they keep pulling the highlights show - would be great if they showed the live tennis until it finished and then put the highlights programme on afterwards even if that meant bumping the rest of the schedule. It's only two weeks for goodness' sake!

Anyway, today...

Hope Bouchard, Lisicki, Kyrgios and Federer win; would really like Djokovic not to win the whole tournament so now would be as good a time as any for him to go out; and torn between Andy and Grigor - I think it'll be a really good match and annoyed that I won't see it!

Great that they're starting early today though!

Whatever happens I am going to miss a match or 2.

Have decided to watch Bouchard/Kerber, Murray/Dimitrov, so will miss Novak and Fed cos I want to watch Nick.

Grrrr.

Unless they all play really quickly and I can happily flick !

Think I'm going for Bouchard/Kerber, Murray/Dimitrov, Fed/Stan. So will miss Novak and Nick. Not sure Novak's going to go out to Cilic.

Think he's probably got the easiest of the quarters.

Incidentally, re. yesterday (because I don't think I posted on here at all, although I read through the thread in the snatched moments between work, dinner and toddler bedtime!):

Sad for Rafa but agree it's exciting that Kyrgios seems to be the next big thing - I haven't heard him speak or seen him play though, so not sure if I am actually going to like him...

Serena looked totally out of it at the doubles match! Someone mentioned above that it looked like she was on something, and it really did! Or maybe she really is genuinely ill - if so, wonder what it can be? Definitely came on quickly because there was nothing visibly wrong with her when she lost to Cornet and I don't think she mentioned feeling ill after that match, did she? I'm sure she would have brought it up if there had been even a suggestion of illness at that stage (I'm going on the basis of what appears to be her widely-accepted reputation of making excuses rather than crediting her winning opponent)

DuPain - it's not that long ago that the highlights programme used to be on at around 9.30pm- or even later. Which made sense, the action has finished by then. There were a couple of days last week where they stopped the 'live' action, in order to show the highlights programme at 8pm. That makes no sense to me.

Oh, and I agree with someone else who said earlier in the thread that Bartoli was gorgeous - she is lovely isn't she? And a lovely accent, talks sense, and seems genuinely nice. I want to be her friend

I hope to see glimpses of Goran during the Djok/Cilic match. Djok has looked beatable - who knows, Marin might have a chance? A little one?

Raahh yes I remember when they used to do that, made so much more sense. I suppose it's all to do with scheduling and money (and maybe the football has influenced it this year as well)
