I think Ward probably is a baddie. Gutted.

I think ward may have a chance of being turned by sky and if he does something particularly heroic will be given another chance though. Not quite sure how they would do it though cos he's been very very bad.
Or maybe I'm hoping because I know Whedon isn't an all happy endings type of guy

I would love a diagram of how they all fit together too because every now and then I think ooh this must be during cap't america or similar but my brain is too fried to piece it all together properly.

So how does captain America fit in?

Think the film fitted around episode 16/17?

Cap America is about Hydra taking over SHIELD but at the top top levels, with Nick Fury's storyline. It's very good, much better than the first Cap America film. They did well at keeping the plots separate so I think only one bit was spoiled by Agents of SHIELD knowledge.

Dh saw Captain America on his day off when he was working away. I haven't seen it yet.

We're huge marvel fans here and watch S.H.I.E.L.D every week I love how it all links in with the big films,we've had a Thor 2 and a Captain America cross over now.

So pleased I've found this thread, I don't know anyone outside of my house that watches it!

I have spent the last 2 episodes hoping Ward is just under cover, that Coulson knows everything, but it's starting to look bad :( I like Agent Triplett, wonder if he's being lined up to replace Ward on the bus? Ming Na is 50

We love S.H.I.E.L.D here too. We haven't managed to see Winter Soldier yet though (can't get a babysitter), which is annoying! The same happened with Thor 2 though, so I know it won't be too much of a problem

I think Buffy may be right about Ward.

I was thinking this, but then with Angel there was the soul / no soul thing that allowed the gang to rationalise having a mass murderer as one of them. I wonder if Ward is more like Faith and will have to work that much harder to redeem himself. Unless he is brainwashed or something, in which case he would be more comparable to Angel.

I think Ward will die saving the team/Skye to redeem himself.

He was such a meh character up till now, he would be easy to replace.

His under cover persona was the same as his hydra one?! Least I couldn't spot much difference!

I've seen the whole series except the season finale through the work that I do, I can't wait for the second series now! I love the plot twists and turns.

I agree Tulip, I think he's going to be much more of a Faith sort of character in terms of redemption; if it's possible it'll come at a cost...

I loved Faith. She would fit well in this lot.

But he said he's know what's-is-face since he was a teenager and that he saved his life etc so I think it goes much deeper than him being able to redeem himself. I don't think he's going to want to redeem himself, he probably sees himself as already being on the right side. He does have a soft spot for Skye though, am wondering how that will pan out. Perhaps her life will be threatened again and he'll sacrifice himself?

Well we also still need to find out why Skye is an 084, I wonder if that has anything to do with how this story will pan out?

084 is the code for items they can't identify possibly alien

"subject of unknown origin" - i.e. alien / with powers - this came up in the episode where May and Coulson went off to Mexico...
