did not know that! thanks.

JuanPotatoTwo · 22/04/2014 21:23

Oh I like the dragon, he's sweet. Did we have him for St David's day too? Yes, lots of interesting matches on tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing Fognini play.

magimedi · 22/04/2014 22:29

Will be v interested to hear about Fognini - what a strange guy he is - talk about up & down!

Raahh · 23/04/2014 11:16

Was there a dragon for St David's? Or was it a daff? Can't remember.

Oh ,flip, Dogs has lost his first set on a tie break.

I like Fognini, hes very entertaining to watch.

As brilliant as the tennis is there doesn't seem to be many personailities around, not talking about the brats like Gulbis and the like, but I can only think of Novak, Fognini, Monfils and Tsonga who laugh and joke around too. maybe Im forgetting someone.

Like Leconte, Noah, Connors and many more used to do.

As for the ladies.......Arantxa and Mandlikova were always enetertaining, and Goolagong.

JuanPotatoTwo · 23/04/2014 13:36

Ferrer is a set and a break down - this isn't how it's meant to be going.

JuanPotatoTwo · 23/04/2014 13:40

3-0 in second set now.

JuanPotatoTwo · 23/04/2014 13:41

Oh no, just seen Dogsbollocks is out :0

Mama1980 · 23/04/2014 13:42

3-0 and the first set to gabashvilli, what has happened to ferrer?! D

Mama1980 · 23/04/2014 13:44

I'm in the east Juan and it's tipping it down.....think you sent the bad weather my way! Grin

Mama1980 · 23/04/2014 13:53

4-2

JuanPotatoTwo · 23/04/2014 14:05

Ferrer out. Feel sad for him.

Mama1980 · 23/04/2014 14:05

And ferrer is out

JuanPotatoTwo · 23/04/2014 14:06

Sorry Mama - if it's any consolation it looks like rain any minute here :)

JuanPotatoTwo · 23/04/2014 14:07

Mama are you watching TennisTv? Did you just see that massive spectator?! I swear he looked about 7 foot tall.

JuanPotatoTwo · 23/04/2014 14:37

Oh, that's disappointing - The Fog is out. Commentators speculating something must be up with him cos clay meant to be his speciality.

Mama1980 · 23/04/2014 14:59

Yep I am but missed the giant man Smile
think Rafa is looking far from his best at the moment.

Mama1980 · 23/04/2014 15:00

Eurosport was saying fog has a injury, not sure what though

Raahh · 23/04/2014 15:47

Ferrer outSad noooo!

This is not meant to be happening. Maybe it's the wrong sort of clay ?

Tennis

What on earth is up with Rafa? Sad

It's a huge expectation coming into a tournament you've won, 7/8 times though- the pressure must be hell.

JuanPotatoTwo · 23/04/2014 16:10

You know I was explaining yesterday that due to only having two dc at home these days I have more tennis watching time on my hands? Well, today I only have one. Ds (9) has left home due to my rationing of the Shreddies Grin.

You joke about the wrong sort of clay Raahh (at least I think you joke) but it does seem much more, um, clay-ey there in Barcelona. It looks like they've sprinkled a lot of extra clay on top of the clay. If that makes any kind of sense.

I forgot to tell you all earlier - when I met my old school friend last week he told me he'd met Nadal several times :0. He wouldn't tell me how precisely other than it was through his work. He is a naval architect but due to confidentiality clauses isn't allowed to talk about which celebs he's done what for - believe me, I tried to get him to divulge all! Anyway, Nadal is supposedly very lovely and humble - the humility isn't at all put on, he really is a very modest man.

Old friend had no other tennis gossip to relate, other than to tell me he'd seen Djok on his bike the previous day, and does so quite often. How is it that he and I (old friend abd I obv, not Djok and I) had the same education and he's ended up living in Monte Carlo, earning squillions and rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous, and I've ended up living in the most boring place ever, definitely not earning squillions and also definitely not rubbing body parts with the rich and famous? (Could it have had something to do with the fact he actually went to school when he was meant to and actually did some work I wonder?)

Mama1980 · 23/04/2014 16:31

Oh bless him Juan, how far has he got? (And if he feels like taking any of my three with him, just say the word Wink )
Yay rafa is through, wasn't good but hopefully he'll improve as the week goes on.

Mama1980 · 23/04/2014 16:33

Wow sounds like you're friend has a amazing job! Monte Carlo sounds great.
As I mentioned before (any excuse to tell the storyWinkGrin) I met nadal once and he was lovely despite my ds1 s telling him how much he loves djokovic Blush he signed several things for us as well, no hurry even though there were lots of people and I'm sure it gets seriously boring for him after a while.
