I'm a lot better, thanks, Juan- just a niggly headache, but nothing too bad.

Looks like a beautiful setting.

Oh dear, could be anyone! Sorry.

JuanPotatoTwo · 19/04/2014 19:45

Need to get your head sorted Raahh. I'm going to nag ...

JuanPotatoTwo · 19/04/2014 19:45

Pic of Rafa - all my pics were sadly crap. And pic of tournament setting.

I think the headache may be due to meeting my mum/sis for lunch yesterday- I had a couple of large cups of coffee. I only drink decaf at home, and think it may be the caffeine.

At least you got the best angle of Rafa (his bumGrin).

So sorry for the headache Raahh - and am most interested in the Guernsey thing. Terrible place - Jersey born & bred, me.

Pesky I may have to axe you yet - you saw Goran??????? I want photographic evidence!

So happy you had a good time - I am not jellus Envy

JuanPotatoTwo · 19/04/2014 21:42

Thank you muddled :). But you know, you really have to make up,your mind about which man you are lusting after - too much excitement at your age is not good for you.

I only wish I did have a pic of Goran, he looked lovely, but I did see him, honest. If ds had mentioned Cilic in time I might have been able to get a pic. But he's too cool for school you know? (Ds that is). Sort of mentions it really casually in passing whenever he sees someone he recognises. I was close enough to Goran to speak, and he was smiling so presumably in a good mood, but I'm way to shy (and hadnt had any gin), plus we were in the VIP village so I was trying to match ds's cool demeanour. Instead of doing the gawping I really wanted to do. :)

Also forgot to mention that Ross Hutchinson was breakfasting at the same time as us on Thursday - yet gain, another of ds's pots. Honestly, if he hadnt have been with me I would have come back saying I'd seen no-one!

JuanPotatoTwo · 19/04/2014 21:43

"Yet again another of ds's spots".

purpleprincess · 19/04/2014 22:02

Thank goodness I'm off the hook for jinxing Rafa Shock I'm saying nothing about Stan then Blush.....

magimedi · 19/04/2014 22:14

But you know, you really have to make up,your mind about which man you are lusting after

Pesky - I have so much more experience than you that I know how to handle more than one man at a time.

With age comes wisdom.................. and all the lovely things that follow Grin

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 19/04/2014 22:25

As someone Guernsey born and bred none of you should listen to magi. Obviously coming from Jersey she is completely deluded. I'm beginning to see your point about her being muddled Juan. Weather has been good so far but is supposed to rain tomorrow.

Not sure it's your picture taking. Unless you are in the front row or have some sort of super long lens tennis pictures are always a bit distant.

DramaAlpaca · 19/04/2014 23:06

Sounds like you had a brilliant time Juan. Glad you enjoyed yourselves mixing with the stars Smile

Also Sad for Rafa the other day & for Ferrer today.

Not generally a Federer fan, but was mightily impressed at his dismissal of Djok today. I'll be rooting for Stan tomorrow, though.

magimedi · 20/04/2014 10:06

I see Djok has a wrist injury & won't be playing for a bit - I wonder if he'll make the French?? And Laura Robson is out & is having surgery, using same doc as Pot!

Wonder if Stan can win?

A little rhyme for Rafa

"Red sky at night,
Jersey's delight,
Guernsey's burning!"

Grin
HarveySchlumpfenburger · 20/04/2014 10:46

Fortunately I think the pouring rain has put that fire right out, magi so we won't be burning for long Grin.

magimedi · 20/04/2014 11:16

Pouring with rain here too. It doesn't seem to matter when Easter is, the weather is always shite.

Am trying to muster up the enthusiasm to go for a swim - it'll be an 'extra' one to try & master tumble turns - if I don't come back it will be because I have drowned!! I just can't get the hang of them.

DramaAlpaca · 20/04/2014 15:15

Beautiful weather here today for a change. We are in the west of Ireland, so it's usually raining Grin

I'm watching the final. Too many mistakes from Stan so far. Hope he can keep it together. I think Stan & Fed find it difficult to play each other.

JuanPotatoTwo · 20/04/2014 15:55

Yay, one set all. Go Stan.

JuanPotatoTwo · 20/04/2014 16:50

Stan wins :). Lovely meeting at the net between the two of them at the end.

magimedi · 20/04/2014 17:30

So pleased for Stan - great to see someone outside the top 4 winning.

purpleprincess · 20/04/2014 18:17

I'm really pleased for Stan that he won today! I hate to be pedantic magimedi but Stan is currently no. 3 in the world but I guess you mean outside the big 4.....Blush.

sweet photo

MakeMineAMartina · 20/04/2014 18:30

oh that is a lovely photo of Roger and Stan.

Roger looks genuinely pleased Stan won, he usually puts a sulky face on if he loses a final.

magimedi · 20/04/2014 20:17

Am sure you know exactly what I mean, purple.

Lovely photo Flowers for posting it.

DramaAlpaca · 20/04/2014 22:19

Well done Stan Smile

JuanPotatoTwo · 21/04/2014 15:56

Bust-A-Gut has beaten Kubot in Barcelona. I know I've done turnarounds on Gulbis and Raonic but this is one player I don't see myself warming to. Famous last words I expect!

What are you all doing? I've just realised ds2 and 3 go back to school tomorrow - for some reason I thought it was Wednesday. So washing is long done thankfully, but guess the ironing board will be having an outing soon.

Come and talk to me please, I'm bored .

Raahh · 21/04/2014 16:24

We are having a mini bbq. Dh has been working all through the Easter weekend, so we've not done much.

I am actually quite organised. mind you- ask me again in the morning, when they will have lost shoes/pe kits/not told me they need something vital for first thing- and it will probably be a different storyGrin

I am just hoping Rafa doesn't blow this tournament too. He is in danger of losing all the points he got last year at this rate.

There has been talk of Stan taking over the number one spot- bit premature, at the moment.

The next few weeks will be crucial- I can't imagine Rafa not winning at RG, so I have everything crossed he finds his clay mojo.
