I can't wait! Although now I've been directed to the walking dead forums I've already read the synopsis. It's so exciting waiting for the last two episodes, but then I won't like the wait until October for the new season.

I've just started watching again from the start with my DH and it's amazing how much the characters have changed. Glen, for example. Annoyingly, they won't be available on sky after 1st April, unless they show them again, so I may have to buy the box sets.

My TV review site isn't posting the final two episodes. Presumably because of spoilers. Angry

Looking on the bright side, if they're worried about spoilers, there must be something good in both episodes to spoil.

I didn't get the impact of Sophia emerging from the barn and the zombie massacre. For a start, I didn't recognise her, and second, I was kind of wool-gathering so when they started shooting, it washed over me. Was it Shane who started the shooting?

It was more shocked by Mika's death. I thought that was done really well. Only showing the aftermath, not the attack and the long shot which made me instantly realise what had happened but think: 'No, surely not.'

My favourite series are 1 and 2, don't know why though. I wasn't ever keen on the governors character. and I'm not keen on the actor in real life so that might be why. I'm missing Rick in this seriesHmm

Seen it. Good. Things happen. More will happen next week.

That's all I'm going to say for now.

Agree mikas death and the scene with her sister so calm and the dripping knife was more horrifying then Sophia and the barn

WD is usually back oct / Halloween so hope don't have to wait till feb 15

I think the Sophia thing was just a culmination of weeks of build up, which made more of an impact (although I guessed she was in there). It was also one of the few times (at that point) that any of the characters had to put down a walker that they knew.

It was slightly spoiled for me by the fact that we missed the episode where Sophia went missing in the first place, so we didn't quite know who she was when they first started looking for her.

susie I didn't like the Governor either - I felt that the whole Woodbury story was more unrealistic, and to be honest I thought his acting was pretty poor (esp the rubbish american accent - surely there are plenty of real-life Americans who could have done it, I don't get this obsession with Brits playing americans. Except Andrew Lincoln, love him). I thought the set was really fake and rubbish, and they dragged it on too long.

Looking forward to tonight!! Hope we see Rick again, I miss him too.

They start filming for season 5 in April, so hopefully we'll only have to wait until autumn.

Have seen a screenshot from the finale - suffice to say it looks like something bad goes down.

Season 5 is confirmed to premiere sometime in October 2014.

I'm not in the US but have just watched the downloaded episode - hopefully some of you will catch up soon so I can discuss it.

Does anyone on here read the comics still?

What's afterlife about Precious?

I prefer him 'geeky' like he was in Teachers and This Life. He's sweet when he's vulnerable, although he has surprised me in TWD never knew he had it in him!!

Looking forward to tonights episode, some of he groups have got to meet up surely. The group Daryl's with have got to come across one of the other groups, maybe Maggie and the others or Carol and Tyresse.

From the trailer, I don't think we'll be seeing rick's group again until the finale - I hope I'm guessing wrong though.

Apparently American movies/dramas often use Brits imitating Americans in the lead baddy role. There is a reason for it but I can't remember.

Finale poster here - speculation in the comments section that Daryl might be killed Shock

(no spoilers)

Report
hoppingmad · 24/03/2014 13:37

I'm not sure they'll kill daryl, although a cliffhanger where we don't know if he's alive or dead might happen.
I don't know, only 2 episodes left and everyone is still fractured.
I can't wait for season 5!

Apparently the press won't be given their usual preview episode of the finale - suggests to me that either a major character will die or something truly horrific will go down.

Report
PeanutPatty · 24/03/2014 14:10

I'm going for complete shocker of a cliffhanger. Least it better be!

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2014 14:39

We were all shocked by mika being killed and then carol killing her sister

Never expected that so who knows what will happen in the finale

It's on too late for me. At 11pm I won't concentrate and I'll ruin it for myself. I'm going to record it to watch tomorrow and then I can FF through the ads as well.

But I'm really looking forward to it. Someone is going to die, aren't they? It was all right when there were people in it I wanted shot of such as Lori and Andrea, but now we're down to the people that I like.

Beth, I suppose. She can go but I bet she won't. I don't much like Maggie either, though I know Glenn would be upset.

And I know this will hurt people but Giant Baby Judith too. I haven't bonded with her and I think it would solve continuity problems because if she lives she'll be enormous by the next season. That's the problem with child actors. Coral is much changed but not that much time has passed in Walking Dead land. So I'm not being so much callous as helpful.

I know rallytog. The two final episodes actually. I'm very cross even though the screenings have PROPERTY OF TWD AND FOX ENTERTAINMENT written across them.

I agree with you that it may mean something big is likely to happen. I'm hoping for it but dreading it. It would be great if it was Daryl - not that I want him to die - but it would be so brave. But killing him would surely leave too big a hole.

Killing Michonne would be shocking too but there seems more scope to learn things about her regarding the flashbacks to her earlier life so that would be a waste.

I like Bob and would be sorry to see him go. But if they killed him it wouldn't make much of an impact. Tyreese too. That would be a bit neat - like his girlfriend's gone, so let's get rid of him.

So it has to be a big character, doesn't it, or it would be a cop out.

That's the good and bad thing about TWD imo, you can never really predict what is going to happen. They Don't seem to follow the usual rules and anyone can die including children. It's kind of refreshing but also tough on the nerves!

I think Carol might be on the way out - she came back in to save Judith really, so she's "atoned" for the deaths at the prison. I don't think they'll get rid of Michonne - Beth's been in a bit more, so I think they'll keep her. They'll keep Maggie I think - so Glenn, Carol or Darryl might be bidding farewell. Pure guesswork & I hope I'm wrong. I could live without Rick tbh - I find him very 'me, me, me' & a bit navel gazery.

Report
MichonnesSamuraiSword · 24/03/2014 17:03

Nooo they can't kill off Michonne - I'd have to change my username and I've grown to quite like it Grin

I think Beth's a gonner. That last episode with her and Darryl had a lot of finality, closing a chapter feeling about it. Either that, or they'll both undergo a radical change.

We know there's drama in store for both of them - what with her being abducted and him joining the baddies and all, so chances are the next ep will involve them somehow.

ARF @ Giant Baby Judith - I've never taken to her either, partly because I think Judith is a grown up name. It's a nice name, but just doesn't really suit a baby (sorry if I've offended anyone!!)
