Prob been done before as Friends is like a guzzillion years old now but the other day I saw the one where Estelle dies.

AFAIK Phoebe never met or spoke to Estelle so how did she know how she sounded? also, Joeys phone would have had Phoebes name on the caller ID.

Yes its a Saturday night and theres nothing on tv!

loadsa moments. anyone get bugbeared or just think 'its only a programme' and just enjoy it?
its a terrible habit of mine to nitpick!

To those saying Rachel is a 'slut' Hmm and that she must have been lying about how many people she slept with, does it actually say she had sex with loads of people in high school? She may have just fooled around etc.

StealthPolarBear · 27/02/2014 22:18

Are you sure the toast wasnt one month from now
Was thag tue stupid "mrs dr barry whatever"?
Jennifer anistons never struck me as a barry

yummytummy · 27/02/2014 22:22

I always wondered why when monica and chandler sleep together for first time in london u see him throw off his pjs when they get undressed but u never ever see monicas dress fly out from under the sheets. Why???

NuggetofPurestGreen · 27/02/2014 22:26

Yeah was definitely a year before.

Actually reminds me of another one! The episode where Monica has the turkey on her head has a flashback to thanksgiving 1992 where Joey puts the turkey on his head to scare Monica. However in the episode discussed above set one year before the pilot ie 1993 Joey is just moving in and they've only just met him..

NuggetofPurestGreen · 27/02/2014 22:29

NickNacks could the Carol pregnancy be explained by the time Ross says something like 'me and Carol had some good times before she found out she was a lesbian.. And one time after...' Smile

StealthPolarBear · 27/02/2014 22:31

You lot all watched far too much friends!

Remembermyname · 27/02/2014 22:33

A continuity one: i Can't remember which particular episodes, but if you keep an eye on the manga doodle in Joey and Chandler's apartment, the picture changes as the cut from character to character and back again

ems1910 · 28/02/2014 08:59

When Monica mentions how sex with Paul the wine guy was like Rachel with Tony Di Marco but with feeling.

Rachel lists her previous lovers to Ross and doesn't mention Tony Di whathisface.

GossamerHailfilter · 28/02/2014 09:46

She doesn't mention half of them!

curiousgeorgie · 28/02/2014 09:51

Ems - she doesn't mention Chip Matthews either..

ems1910 · 28/02/2014 12:24

Ooh I thought she did mention him first Georgie. I've never realised what a Friends geek I am before this thread! Lol.

NickNacks · 28/02/2014 12:29

If you have the DVD box set and listen to the writers/directors commentary on some of the episodes, then lots of things are answered.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 28/02/2014 19:17

Is everyone else looking for errors now when they watch it?!? Grin apart from the ones we know Im watching out for the ones others have mentioned that I haven't noticed before!

and when Chandler and Joey leave the baby on the bus.

what a sheer coincidence that TWO babies that look exactly the same should HAPPEN to be lost on buses on the exact same day!!!!

OP posts:
katese11 · 01/03/2014 17:54

...And we never know for sure whether they got the right baby back! They missed an opportunity for a future storyline there!

NiSaBula · 01/03/2014 18:17

I may be wrong here, but Chandler tells Monica he loves her, for the first time, twice. The one where Phoebe is pretending to seduce him and the one where Monica has the turkey on her head.

AlpacaYourThings · 01/03/2014 18:48

NiSaBula that sounds right to me too... Confused I hadn't realised that before

NickNacks · 01/03/2014 18:49

Turkey on the head was first time to Monica when no one knew about them.

When phoebe was seducing him was when he was explaining they aren't just fooling around.

'I thought you guys were just doing it, I didn't know you were in love '

spookyskeleton · 01/03/2014 18:53

nisbula not sure whether he tells her he loves her in the one where Phoebe seduces him - was it not that he describes her as being in a relationship with (or words to that effect) and Phoebe says she thought they were just having sex.

Noticed today about Estelle being the midwife...you would think there are enough actresses in America for this not to happen.

Anonymai · 01/03/2014 18:55

The Estelle multiple roles thing will be because they liked her and wanted her in a bigger role maybe?

God I love all you nitpickers! I wish I could spot something!

LetZygonsbeZygons · 01/03/2014 19:48

The infamous red sweater. Joey wears it in another episode, as does Phoebe.

And the one where Chandler takes a bath. one angle of the bathroom is that the baths right against the wall but another angle and Chandler has his hand folded over the rim that's against the wall!

and the one where Ross sees Rachel dancing naked through his window. the whole floor of his block would have too, no?

OP posts:
AHardDaysWrite · 01/03/2014 19:50

Might be wrong, but I think the multiple roles thing is because actors have contracts with studios...there are a lot of overlaps between actors in Friends and ER, both of which were Warner shows. And a few examples of the same actor having different roles in ER too wonders if we should have a thread for ER pedants too

AHardDaysWrite · 01/03/2014 19:54

Another one...when Rachel goes into labour, she says "I think my waters just broke!" then they run straight out of the door. Never mind the complete lack of wet patch on her skirt, she doesn't even nip to change her knickers and shove five maternity pads in or grab her hospital bag!

Then the baby is breech, and it's all a huge shock. Seriously, a woman in modern America with proper antenatal care would go into labour with no-one realising it was breech? Really?

childwrangler · 01/03/2014 20:12

In their defence, I had been in labour for 24hours, had internals by two different midwives and only when there was a shift change and I was fully dilated did competent midwife spot DD was breech...and that was only 7 years ago.

HappyHippyChick · 01/03/2014 20:14

Same happened to me, undiagnosed breech after being in labour for 12 hours...
