I really dislike Carl.

More so than usual.

A moat would eventually fill up with zombies and then other zombies could just walk over them. Medieval walled cities would probably be a good option.

According to "World War Z" (the book, not the movie) zombies don't breathe so can't drown and can just walk around on the ocean floor.

Buckingham Palace would be a great place to live once you had cleared It. Great defences, lots of land to farm and you have the bonus of living in luxury

That's true, those big sturdy gates would keep walkers right out!

Buckingham Palace would be good but getting into London and doing supply runs would be a nightmare. A country hotel might be better, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Large kitchen, large communal areas, gym. You'd have to work on the defences though.

I still think a prison is hard to beat. I think people need to be shut in at night, just in case they die in their sleep or walkers got in at night. In a hotel everyone could have a nice room with an ensuite (although is there still running water?).

I'm still not sure on the cruise ship. What about seasickness and it would need fuel wouldn't it? Wouldn't want to drift through bad weather or are you talking about a permanent off shore anchorage? I could go for that!

Shag - Daryl. I'm not mad on him but like the character. Was a close call between him and Glenn really.
Marry - Rick. He'd need a good wash, new clothes and general tidy up but he is still my favourite of the three when he isn't having a breakdown.

I was thinking permanent anchorage once a good spot had beeb found. Possibly off the coast of our own personal island cleared of the undead so we can then plant lots of crops and raise our animals.

Everyone has their own lockable cabin on board.

how does electricity work on a ship? Is it massive generators? Sorry if this is a really daft question!

Dartmoor prison could work - its in the middle of jeffing nowhere, on high ground so good visibility all round, not a large town so easier to clear of walkers.

I think they use generators on cruise ships. But we could rig up some wind turbines and solar panels

I'd be happier on an island than a cruise ship to be honest. What we need is one far enough offshore that it sits in really deep water - so the waterlogged zombies couldn't climb up from the seabed.

Like St Kilda. There used to be a community living there, they lived off the seabirds mostly. And sheep. They evacuated them eventually because they ran out of food, but I reckon we could give it a go.

And we could rig up some sea defences to fend off the hardiest underwater zombies.

Its still the cruise ship for me! I like the idea of dropping anchor permanently near an island where we can grow our crops. No zombie is gonna be able to scale a cruise ship. Lockable cabins are good. See I'd be terrified to sleep with anyone incase they died and turned in the night (it happens) I Don't wanna wake up being eaten!

Of course I do List Rick, Michonne and Glenn would be an unstoppable force. The dh's can take care of the kids while we clear the cruise ship/prison etc of the undead!
