I really dislike Carl.

More so than usual.

There would be hundreds of them feasting on all the bodies, surely! (it's probably too complicated to film that though, so they don't bother)

That reminds me of another of my nerdy horror film facts.

When they made Nosferatu The Vampyre in a German town the film company managed to convince the council it would be good publicity and bring in lots of tourists because it was very arty.

They went along with it. Unbeknownst to them the director released hundreds of rats for a scene where they feed on the dead and dying in the middle of the town.

He didn't have a plan for how he was going to round them up at the end of day. So the actors all buggered off and left the town with a horrendous rat problem Shock

I love imagining how I'd get on in michonne.

But I think I might want to end it all quickly like the woman and the scientist in the research centre explosion

I love imagining how I'd get on in michonne.

No I don't. There was a stray 'in' there. I fancy Daryl. Grin

RayPurchase · 20/02/2014 11:19

RayPurchase · 20/02/2014 11:20

I think I'd like to be your friend, I

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/02/2014 13:01

This is true. No children walkers / why not

Do walkers need to feast on flesh to stay being a walker ? They seem to have Unrelentless appetites / don't they ever get full/fed up of flesh?

Scotland / wasn't that 28days?

HighlanderMam · 20/02/2014 13:48

MichonnesSamuraiSword

I love the film I Am Legend.

Cry like a baby when his dog bites the dust. Proper full on tears. Can't help it, every time.

We have seen a child walker in the first ep of season 1 Rick shot a little girl, Sophie as well. Bloody car seats etc

I think one of the reasons is it may be too upsetting to watch lots of children of all ages being walkers ie from baby upwards.

The other reason are children may not survive intact long enough to be walkers.

In zombie literature u do read about children being walkers but the characters seeing the children and sometimes babies are obviously and understandably upset and the descriptions of the bodies would give u dark sad thoughts.

TBH I'm glad we don't see children ( sorry thought way too much about this !!!!)

Yes Preciousbane - the Omega Man film, not the book. I think it's better than I Am Legend.

Precious Bane is one of my favourite books too.

limitedperiodonly · 20/02/2014 14:04

Not as many zombies in that one though...

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 20/02/2014 14:25

Not 28 days later, it was a tv series - just googled it, it was called 'Survivors' starring Max Beesley. It was quite good from what I remember, more detail on how they'd actually survive and form a new social order.

Oh god the dog in I am Legend... Sad That's what worries me if there ever was a zombie apocalypse, all the people and dogs that I love. If I had no one, or all my loved ones bit the dust early on, I think I'd be fine. I'd just wander the land until I got to a nice island.

Pretty much like Michonne really... although she's now gone and made the mistake of caring about people again... never going to end well is it?

I still hope that she and Rick get together.. or at least Rick gets it on with someone as he NEEDS to be happy and get over Lori.

hoppingmad · 20/02/2014 14:28

I think sparkles is right in that adults have a greater chance of getting bitten but wriggling free to run off, die & turn. Whereas a child is more likely to be incapacitated by a zombie attack.
Not nice to think about and I also agree that we don't really want to watch a load of children zombies either, I barely made it through the lizzie Judith scene as it was

Me too Hopping. I have a knot in my stomach everytime I see Judith in a scene. Makes me so anxious. AGAIN IT'S ONLY A TV SERIES. But it's educational and a good basis on which to build my own walker survival plan. Wink

limitedperiodonly · 20/02/2014 14:53

The Max Beesley Survivors is a remake of something I used to watch and gibber over as a child. I also used to be terrified by something called Doomwatch about what happens when scientists go rogue.

Sometimes I wonder about my parents.

Child zombies would be much more distrubing.

There's a scene in Barbarella where she meets these charming children who turn out to be robots who take bites out of her thighs with their horrible little jagged teeth - because obviously Jane Fonda is wearing a bikini in space Hmm.

It terrified me. Something else my parents allowed me watch when I was about eight. It's not the violence with that one, it's more the sex...

limitedperiodonly · 20/02/2014 15:04

Oh and there was a chilling scene in Dracula - the recent Jonathan Rhys Meyers one.

A father went to rescue his kidnapped children but he didn't realise the kidnapper had turned them into vampires. They came out shyly when he called them, looked at each other and fell on him snarling. It was the only scary bit in it.

Apart from Rhys Meyers' acting.

limitedperiodonly · 20/02/2014 15:05

I was also allowed to watch a show called Menace. The title tells you everything you need to know.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/02/2014 15:17

Survivors rings a bell. Think I watched it

Also a prog a while back that is meant to be coming back for s2 - but was after a zombie attacke and those who were zombies got given a drug and lived as normal people

They were deathly white and had to paint their selves flesh coloured

Anyone rem this?

Walkers don't seem to eat each other - only fresh meat or alive people - do surely any child that does turn into a zombie is safe?

Agree child zomblies would be more scary

Blondes wants to see some :)

IdaBlankenship · 20/02/2014 15:26

Blondes - I love the word zomblies! - Little baby zombies, they sound quite warm and cuddly Wink
