I really dislike Carl.

More so than usual.

OP posts:
SaltySeaBird · 18/02/2014 21:14

I think Carol and co will find a safe place and have minimal story lines through to the end of the season, with the main focus being on my predicted two groups! That is just speculation and not based on any knowledge at all!

spoiler link based on comic knowledge about new characters I found this really interesting it's just about who the new characters are and not too spoilerish at all in my opinion! But if you want the suspense of finding who they are and if they are bad or good; don't read it!

Monroe · 18/02/2014 21:16

I really hope the new comers are friendly and not another dodgy group. They seemed a bit um edgy? Not sure how else to describe them. Reminded me a bit of when rick met those two in the bar. Don't know how I can read so much into them after a whole 3 seconds though

Still not sure about Carol. I really get why everyone thinks she's covering for lizzie and I won't be surprised at all if it's her. I was thinking about the ep where her and rick met that young couple. It seemed like rick was trying to give her a second chance but she showed no remorse at all as if she really felt she'd done the right thing. Whereas if it wasn't her wouldn't you be trying to explain and justify your actions?

I am over thinking this far too much Grin

M0naLisa · 18/02/2014 21:29

In the comics, the Sgt who appeared in last nights episode appeared before Hershel's farm in the comics. So very different to the tv version.

DH too thinks that Carol looked shocked by tyreeses reaction because he doesn't know and rick told her that he would know! Which is why he made he leave.

The prison attack did happen just after Rick returned from relieving Carol. Also the radio signal we heard back in earlier episodes of S4 must be from Terminus.

The writer and producer said if people re watch the first half of S4 it gives ALOT if clues as to what's coming up in the second half. I.e the radio signal is a massive clue.
Remember what it's was saying 'SAFE SAFE'
Terminus is detailed as safe place

All survivers stay alive.

Can't wait for next week.

Just hope they all meet up soon, hope they don't leave it until series 5!

M0naLisa · 18/02/2014 21:29

Sorry must state. Online an interview with the writer and producer has said what I said below.

SaltySeaBird · 18/02/2014 21:41

I don't think Glenn / Maggie or Rick / Judith will meet this season Sad

SaltySeaBird · 18/02/2014 21:43

In the comics they went back to Hershals farm briefly after the prison. The farm wasn't destroyed in the same way I think.

anonacfr · 18/02/2014 22:08

I've heard that in the comics Lizzie turns really psycho?

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 18/02/2014 22:09

Please, please, please no spoilers!! I'm really scared of reading on in case I read anything that I don't want to know!

gamerchick · 18/02/2014 22:10

I wouldn't worry.. the bloody baby is supposed to be dead. I was spitting and everything Angry I wouldn't bank on much from the comics coming into play.

Tallalime · 18/02/2014 22:30

They did have a psycho kid in the comics but it wasn't Lizzie.

I heard they are supposed to come across the hunters i. the second half of this season.

The comics are nothing like the show (Judith died, Sophia lived etc etc). Daryl doesn't exist in the comics either.

gamerchick · 18/02/2014 22:34

no, daryl and merrle were supposed to be temporary.. sent in to rob them.

They would be brave to get rid of daryl now I think.

HighlanderMam · 18/02/2014 23:18

I liked Merle. Grin

God he was a wanker, but I was always Grin at him.

BlueFrenchHorn · 19/02/2014 03:02

Lived how Merle redeemed himself on the end. I think the part of Darryl was written for Norman reedus especially.

BlueFrenchHorn · 19/02/2014 03:02

Loved not lived

SaltySeaBird · 19/02/2014 06:42

Don't worry I won't post any spoilers from the comics and when I speculate on stuff, it's only things I really don't know.

I've not read the comics actually but have read a few synopsis so know the rough story lines and characters. Overall they are very different.

I hate it when people post spoilers, both BreakingBad and Homeland were spoilt for me by people thoughtlessly posting on Facebook the day the finales aired.

If I do post anything about the comics it will be in a link with a clear warning that it may be a spoiler.

SaltySeaBird · 19/02/2014 06:49

Is it okay to discuss things that happened in the past in the comics, as in we are past that timeline now and it couldn't be brought into the tv series even if they wanted to (as they've killed off the characters/sets)? I agree no speculation on future events from the comics though.

I find the differences interesting! I did try reading the comics but found them far too brutal and different compared to the show.

Minion · 19/02/2014 08:03

Hi! Fellow TWD fan girl here.
May I offer my assistance in a post zombie/walker/biter apocalypse? I've got knitting needles (4 so we'd have to share or I'm strapping them to my hands with duct tape like wolverine) a samurai sword which is currently collecting dust in the wardrobe so really needs an excuse to be out on show again and a cupboard full of booze and spare rags for all those delicious molotovs we'll be serving?
I'd have to bring the husband though can you fit one more in, in the barracks lteve? He's quite handy at driving, and number crunching... Not entirely sure how that may be helpful but I've gotten used to him now.

The only problem is I have no sturdy shoes! So if anyone can spare a size 9 walking boot, please do. I can swap you something if you don't want to lose any possessions you left home with.

So, should it happen, we're meeting at the Winchester yes?
Good.
Mines a cornetto!

Minion · 19/02/2014 08:09

Oh and if that didn't sway you to letting me join, I'm also cabin crew,, so in the event of an emergency I can show you the exits!
And help block them up if needs be.

HighlanderMam · 19/02/2014 08:14

Just looked to see how much it would be to buy the books.

Ebay - £173.67! ($289.99)

There goes that idea for now, best save up for a couple of months.

HighlanderMam · 19/02/2014 08:14

Do you think there will be 8 series on TV like there are 8 books?

HighlanderMam · 19/02/2014 08:15
Monroe · 19/02/2014 08:22

Highlander - we can dream!

Minion - I think at this point all are welcome until they prove themselves psycho's then you're walker fodder. That'd be my rule anyway. Harsh but fair Grin

And while everyone else is raiding the local camping store for survival kit we can pop next door to the haberdashery and stock up on knitting needles. I was thinking maybe we should tape up the ends with duct tape or something. Don't want hands to slip when you're jabbing them through the eye

Minion · 19/02/2014 08:27

monroe deal I'm in.
There may a few days a month I'll have to take myself off hunting or something, you know when the rage sets upon you, all you can do from keep going psycho is go and a kill a few hundred zombies!
And yes, whilst we raid the haberdashery I'll pick up some new wool. I can't make anything but tea towels and scarves so at least we'll be warm in winter.
I could probably tie a few together and make a hammock though! Brainwave!

limitedperiodonly · 19/02/2014 08:46

BlueFrenchHorn

Monroe said that she'd make body armour to protect herself from zombie bites and that's what Glenn does at the end and I couldn't understand why no one that thought of before.

That's why I want to be in her gang.

I wanted to say but even though it was only a tiny thing I thought it might give something away so I waited even though I was dying to say. How nerdy is that?
