Calling all X-Philes! Weekly ep thread.

Following on from this thread, we're working our way through our X-Files boxsets by choosing a few eps from each season and watching one every Sunday night. Last week we watched Beyond the Sea but tonight's s1 episode hasn't been chosen yet - maybe Lazarus or Young at Heart.

So come, join us, and re-live the excitement! Sigh again at the forehead-kiss, weep at the demise of Deep Throat, marvel at how they disguise Gillian Anderson's pregnancy...

So what one next. There's some good ones coming up. Fearful symmetry, dod kalm, calusari f emasculata it's going to be hard

I know this is the weekly thread, but I am just finishing season 9 (last double episode to watch tomorrow), and I have no idea what to watch next!

Btw season 7 and 8 are awesome!

Humbug's great too. Ooh I don't know, where should we start?

Love the end of s9!!! And yes, s7&8 are brilliant.

I always think of s7 as the silly season because they do all kinds of shows they wouldn't normally. And I love the introduction of Doggett and Reyes in s8. I feel sorry for them that they never get any credit for keeping the show alive at the very end.

Oh I line the last two episodes.

But then of course there's the film... Which I quite liked incidentally, but they probably should have chosen a different storyline really to get the critics' approval.

The first film was the best

Yes it was. I think the second was just a bit too dark - would have been great as an episode but for a whole film... I think it needed a few more jokes! I like the very end where they're in a boat though

Still seems weird seeing them in bed together though. Nine seasons waiting fir it then it just seemed so strange

Yes :) nice to see they stood the test of time. As her them say the words " I love you"

Sooo many times it was obvious and implied and mentioned by everyone else but them.

We watched the first film after season 5 I think it was.

I didn't like Dogget and Reyes at first, but am loving Dogget now. Reyes is ok. The numerology episode had me laughing, what a strange episode, but loved Reyes in it.

I so wanted to hate doggett basically because he wasn't mulder. But I likes him. He was a good guy and I felt sorry for him when scully refused to involve him or tell him anything.

Him and Reyes would have been a sweet couple too if he'd have let her in.

I just kept thinking Terminator 2

Doggett's just great, he's so solid and dependable. And Reyes is brilliant, I love her when she helps Scully give birth. That numerology one (what is it called??) is one of my favourite episodes of all time.

And the one where she's trapped inside a model of the hospital and they all think she's brain dead

I love Humbug, but then have watched it a lot and haven't seen Fearful Symmetry many times so maybe it would be nice to see it for that reason. Although that bloody gorilla gets on my nerves.
