Following on from this thread, we're working our way through our X-Files boxsets by choosing a few eps from each season and watching one every Sunday night. Last week we watched Beyond the Sea but tonight's s1 episode hasn't been chosen yet - maybe Lazarus or Young at Heart.

So come, join us, and re-live the excitement! Sigh again at the forehead-kiss, weep at the demise of Deep Throat, marvel at how they disguise Gillian Anderson's pregnancy...

Was thinking that Mulder's speeches are a bit too grand, but actually that was quite a cool teaser sequence, especially when you think about the anticipation that would have built up to s2.

So, did this abduction actually happen!? Just watched Closure, and the implication was that she was taken by men and he was given false memories later. Not sure what to believe!

I'm not totally sure either. I mean that event started everything. It wouldnt have if the memories didn't exist from te beginning. He would know surely?

So, is this the first time we see his Senator friend? And the Double Jeopardy line is a joke based on DD losing that show. Bit of trivia for ya.

Re. abduction, he only gets the memories later under hypnotic regression. Doesn't think it's aliens until he's an adult.
