Yikes, I hope not, poor Sam looks so bewildered at the moment, wonder how long it will go on for, hopefully not that long that we will give up caring what will happen.

It's not very exciting atm is it?

SlatternMissesherGrumpyCat · 19/02/2014 20:59

I did laugh at Nicola's one liners during the speed dating. She looked fab with black hair. Other than that not much happening.

Ellenora5 · 25/02/2014 20:26

Have we all given up Grin I haven't watched in ages and tuned in tonight and I had to stop at the break, I really couldn't cope with it, it's awful rubbish, I'm really annoyed over it, Emmerdale used to be my favourite soap Sad

It was my fav at one time. I think they need new characters . I'm fed up with the charity storyline. And whatsaname who is married to david is getting on my nerves and David is an idiot.
There is not enough Cain for my liking. I have started to lose interest
Need new blood I think

SpottyTeacakes · 26/02/2014 07:15

I'm still watching but it's pretty meh Hmm

Nospringchickendipper · 26/02/2014 11:48

Emmerdale has seemed to have lost its mojo recently.
I am beginning to like Kerry more though she means well but I will not be happy until Charity gets her comeuppance. I really liked Declan when he first came into the show but he has completely changed personality.

Strawdolly · 26/02/2014 13:00

The best thing about Emmerdale at the moment are the wee piggies.

nikkihollis · 26/02/2014 19:00

I'm throwing in the towel. Sick of stupid, boring plots and irritating characters. Have really enjoyed it for 2 years though so am bit sad that it's so rubbish and so many good characters have gone and have been replaced by boring idjits.

Ellenora5 · 04/03/2014 19:04

Ok so tuned in tonight, what happened to Gemma, I didn't watch last week and I must have missed something.

OP posts:
Strawdolly · 05/03/2014 09:54

She and Belle were arguing and, IIRC, Gemma hit or slapped Belle so Belle shoved Gemma. I think Gemma fell and hit her head but got up again to carry on bitching, so when Belle left she was okay. Something like that - I'm always cooking when it's on so never see it properly but I'm not sure I could sit and watch it properly as it really is shiter than shite at the moment. Corrie's not much better Sad

lovelychops · 05/03/2014 15:23

I've not been paying attention for most of this year. It's not good at the moment is it?!
We need a massive cull, and maybe some more writers.
Could Cameron come back from beyond the grave? At least stuff happened when he was around.....

Ellenora5 · 05/03/2014 15:57

Thanks a million Strawdolly, so it was Belles fault then, wonder how long they can cover this up for, it's very bad at the moment lovelychops, that's why I keep missing it

Hopefully now Gemma is dead her dad will end up leaving. Then we just have to get rid of about 90% of the village and it might be good again...

But seriously I would like to see Ali and Ruby and their kids leave next. Can't stand them.

Does anyone know what happened to Gemma's mum? I must have missed that.

nikkihollis · 05/03/2014 18:44

I've been watching again this week (despite saying I was through with it!). It is just beyond dire though. The flipping Barton brothers are just so boring and annoying and I don't like Harriet one bit. If they had a cull of loathesome characters there'd only be around 4 people in it. I just don't know why I'm bothering keeping dipping in. It's just habit I think.

The scene with Gemma's life support being turned off was really unrealistic I thought. As if Dom would have been left on his own in an empty room, as his daughter's body was wheeled away. I know they probably did that for dramatic impact.

On the other hand I thought Belle's acting was really good for a change.

BabyMummy29 · 06/03/2014 19:50

With Gemma's departure, does it mean we'll get rid of the dreadful Dom.

His acting is beyond useless and how on earth all the women in the village are supposed to find him irresistible is beyond me.

nikkihollis · 06/03/2014 20:20

It would be good if Dom left. Can't understand either what all the Emmerdale women find in him. He seems petulant, grumpy, surly, angry and boring (and that was before Gemma's demise). It's not like there's not a sufficient quota of petulant, grumpy, surly, angry and boring characters in the village these days.

Nospringchickendipper · 06/03/2014 21:38

I can't believe Belle and Gemma were fighting over Sean.
He is hardly a great catch is he.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 07/03/2014 19:08

Watching for the first time in ages tonight. While I hate Dom like any same person I felt a bit sorry for him tonight but obviously it's cos stories about dead children are Sad

I'm sure I'll be back to normal soon.

Twintery · 07/03/2014 19:47

Quite like Harriet and Finn. Not the other 2 brothers, especially the older tall one. And dont like the newest vet, Vanessa?

lovelychops · 07/03/2014 21:35

It's slim pickings in emmerdale if Sean is worth falling out (and possibly killing) your best mate over.
Please leave now Dom. Feel free to take quite a few others with you.

SlatternMissesherGrumpyCat · 08/03/2014 14:40

I'm just glad that the gurning face of Sam 'but she loves me' Dingle isn't on screen quite so much. I fast forwarded through all the tiresomeness of Jai getting conned.

I'm not a huge Debbie 'shortest black skirt in Emmerdale' Dingle but did like the change of pace with her hooking up with one of the Barton boys. Hopefully there are some new storey lines to come.

Nospringchickendipper · 08/03/2014 14:45

Debbie has well manicured nails for a car mechanic how does she manage it Smile.

nikkihollis · 08/03/2014 15:13

I know, it's very hard to believe that Sean is someone two cool teenage girls would be fighting over. But then there's not many lads their age in the village I suppose.
Yes, it IS a relief to not have Sam repeating the same on shtick night in, night out but we've replaced the whole boring Rachel/Sam/Jai saga with a mourning Dom and lechy Barton brothers which isn't much of an improvement. I tried to pack in watching it the other week but read the digital spy spoilers and tuned in again. Though I just have it on in the background rather than devoting my full attention to it. Yes, Debbie's nails are in excellent shape. I have to say all the guys down my local garage have short, filthy nails and grimy hands (like most car mechanics tend to have during working hours!).

SlatternMissesherGrumpyCat · 08/03/2014 20:06

I did have a giggle at the shot of Debbie's very lovely nails just as she was pulling them out of the car engine.

anchories · 08/03/2014 20:09

Ridiculous. Had forgotten that she is supposed to be able to fix cars. I dont think that she has ever looked she has been anywhere near the inside of a car.
And she looked like she was finding it heavy to even lift the tool box.
