Does anyone remember The Edwardian Country House? I bought DH the DVDs as he lived it so much. It was one of those reconstructions with real people taking on the roles within the house and living as closely as possible to the reality of the time. Interestingly, the Lord if the Manor felt that he was a fair and popular master but the servants felt quite differently! Well worth seeing
