Accidentally filled up the last thread without realising.

Have the day off today so can sit and watch the tennis scores update.

We still have too.

Turns out we weren't seeing tennis today, we were seeing it yesterday. . Fortunately they were cheap so we brought some for today.

The tennis was awesome. The Azarenka/Jankovic match and the Williams match in particular. Jankovic played really well.

Have checked Friday's. They definitely say the 25th. I know how it happened. When we decided we would go twice and tried to book the second set of tickets it kept throwing us out of the site when we tried to get them delivered. It must have reset the date to the first day of the tournament when we decided not to have them delivered. It definitely asked us to reselect seats at that point.

If the Championships are in Istanbul next year and any of you happen to be there. I wouldn't bother with the category 1 tickets. The £8 category 3 ones will probably be fine. Once you are inside the stadium nobody checks the tickets to see if you are in the correct block. People were just finding an empty seat courtside and sitting in it. Obviously you have to move when the person with the ticket for that seat comes along but you just find another empty seat.

Oh dear Clay! Good job you were able to buy some there and then. We're there many empty seats? I once turned up with all the family, plus grandparents, late for the pantomime. Two weeks late ...

Had an interesting day yesterday. Turns out there were only three of us on the course, and the third lady was delivered to the venue by her butler, Carlton (in full butler regalia too). How the other half live eh? Although, I did wonder why the butler, not the chauffeur, was doing the delivering!

Hoping to catch Pot v Bagdhatis later. Happy watching Clay.

Loads. Pretty much all of the 3rd tier (probably because they were courtside or in 2nd tier) and about 1/2 the second tier. It wasn't that busy when we got there either. There was only one person in the queue to buy tickets. May be busier for the finals at the weekend. My Dad's PA seemed to think it was a really popular event and would be really busy.

Loads of people left after the first set of the last match where Radwanska got steamrollered by Serena. The missed a brilliant second set. There was a point where I though they might make it to 3 sets.

Ferrer's won the first set in Valencia. Del Potato should be on court soon.

Watching women's now. I think there's some very clever camera work going on to make it look packed. Sadly it's the last year the championships are in Istanbul. They're moving to Singapore for the next 5 years.

Shame about the move to Singapore- and also that it's not better attended.

It's an odd week I think. This year it's fallen between a 5 day bank holiday last week when almost everything was shut and next Monday and Tuesday being a bank holiday as well. I don't think many will have been able to get the time off, even though it starts at 5. I know my Dad's trying to fit nearly 3 weeks of work into this week.

Aza twinged her back but played through, Na won 6/2 6/1.

Aza was either stupid to play with the pain or admirable to stay to the end.

Ouch- I hope she is ok.

I did, Burley. It was really horrible to watch. She was standing on the base line in tears at one point in the second set. She couldn't run for anything. The crowd really got behind her and cheered her on loudly though. I have a feeling Li sort of let her win that one game in the second set.

The Errani/Jankovic match was amazing. Really wanted a 3rd set even though I've literally just walked in through the door and I have to leave for the airport in 4 hours.

Urgh.

Watching Pot v Roger-Vasselin. Def something going on here. Pot not happy, very distracted, hitting himself with racquet etc. Apparently had nosebleed earlier too. Crowd are almost silent.

I know he generally is slow between points, but he's moving like he has cement in his shoes today.

About to lose second set on his serve.

Just lost it with a mis hit. He gave up in that set. Don't know what's up.

Just walked in through the door. Maybe end of year-itis. Too many matches perhaps.

Must get back up to speed with men's tennis. Have lost touch with it while I was away.

Yes. But flat smells really damp and musty. Which makes sense if it has rained a lot. Having to open all the windows to air it out a bit.

Most of the smoke smell has gone though.
