I'm bloody cleaning tesco a out of canned goods tomorrow because of this. Why do they always it irritating characters on programmes like this though, lorrie with her dragging her daughter out into bedlam, and Carl's very annoying sister.

Personally I would have grabbed the dog food too. Realistically if you starving you would eat anything eventually. Didn't think nuch of the sudden ending.

At least the power came back on.

I suppose the moral of the story is to make sure you have enough in the house to be self sufficient for several days. I wouldn't want to venture outside unless absolutely necessary.

I would totally have picked up the dog food.

DH said he would have grabbed the dog food,,if you were desperate I'm sure it would be edible and better than starving.

So - how would your zombie apocalypse OFRS translate to power-out but everyone alive and human?

Report
Theincidental · 09/09/2013 22:40

Couldn't watch end. Got all scaredy cat and had to fill the bath tub and sink and kettle

I'm sorted June. Mums is only a matter of doors away and her storecupboard is packed, dads done survival training and has a load of water purification tablets from hiking - oh and they have a gas cooker and woodburner.

Survival dad killed someone....the lights came on...

Do we reckon the power came back on in time for Karl?

Report
Theincidental · 09/09/2013 22:43

Did the mum with her daughter make it ok?

Bit close to what my reality would be. Blooming channel 4 and their clever scary programmes!

CCTV on back in time to catch survival guy as he fled the scene. I think he was a tad annoyed at all his planning coming to nothing.
Interesting to see think how different people might react - some looking after elderly neighbours (lawrie's mum) others wanting to look after their own.

I thought it was quite well done overall but agree must have brought back very bad memories for those affected by riots previously

Bowlersarm · 09/09/2013 22:43

No, I reckon sadly Karl's time was up....

Report
Trills · 09/09/2013 22:45

I told Lorrie that she was an idiot right at the very beginning.

Hastings to Sheffield in the middle of a national emergency?

I admit I had to leave dh to it and came to bed early. It's not that I think it would actually happen but I can't deal with stress and suspense at all. I'd love to know how it all panned out though.

So.

I'm giving serious thought to having a dig in the garden tomorrow and opening up the old air raid shelter.

Y'know.

Just incase.

Shock

Trouble is Tiger there are so many things that could but the chances are won't, go wrong on a national scale, such as flu pandemic, terrorist attack, financial collapse, it is probably not worth worrying about other than have a vague plan and be a little prepared if something does happen.
