Should make for interesting viewing 4 'normal' women locked up in a closed order of nuns for 40 days and nights.

Oh sit back and watch those sparks fly!!!!

Murky buckets

Turquoise · 14/06/2006 20:11

9pm.
I'd be surprised if there's anyone even vaguely normal though.

mosschops30 · 14/06/2006 20:13

there were some normal blokes in the male version, but obviously they're gonna throw a few oddie in there.

i would quite like to do this! nice rest

mosschops30 · 14/06/2006 20:28

dont think youd get much rest there. I'm a bit scared of nuns, though so wouldnt entertain it! Think they have to be up VERY early

have to watch - i imagine its peaceful, nuns are a bit scary, though not the nuns in the sound of music!

mosschops30 · 14/06/2006 20:41

Grin i go to the monastery for weekends and its a bit like the Betty Ford clinic, no drink, or tv, or kids, just sleeping and reading and no scary nuns

mosschops30 · 14/06/2006 20:43

love the nuns in the sound of music Blush oh the shame

(mosschops trots off to kitchen humming 'how do you solve a problem like maria')

mosschops30 · 14/06/2006 22:27

The nuns were not as scary as i expected

I went to a convent, I always got the nuns, my DSis went to the same convent and does not.

Turquoise · 14/06/2006 22:36

I liked Sister Gabriel, very wise and inspirational.
Think the nuns are going to come out of it very well.

mosschops30 · 14/06/2006 22:45

yeah i thought she was nice (although I'm a geordie so biased) also liked sister claire agnes the one who told the blonde woman that it wasnt her fault her mother left. It was quite touching

OP posts:
renaldo · 14/06/2006 23:19

so rude of them not to turn up on time etc Its such a huge thing for an enclosed order to let people and camera crews in.

Caligula · 14/06/2006 23:23

That poor woman who was abandoned by her mother. Sad

Gillian76 · 15/06/2006 00:07

Oh missed it :(

Is it repeated?

southeastastra · 15/06/2006 08:25

yes that poor woman (was it debbie?) having to leave her mum at the dock nearly made me cry. i hope she can be more at peace with herself at the end.

the ones going off on their own were like big kids, but i would probably do that.

brilliant programme - the nuns were lovely not at all scary!

mosschops30 · 15/06/2006 09:20

my mum phoned me in tears after the programme to say the same happened to her, having to choose which parent to stay with (i never knew this), she said she still cant get over it 50 years on Sad

Gillian you can watch it again online at BBC2
