Should make for interesting viewing 4 'normal' women locked up in a closed order of nuns for 40 days and nights.

Oh sit back and watch those sparks fly!!!!

I find I need to sit on my hands in an attempt to supress the urge to SLAP them. Apart from the older blonde woman (Debi?) the others are terrifically annoying, and not really making an effort to get into to the routine. And just cringeworthily disrespectful to the nuns' way of life. When you get round to watching, mosschops, keep an eye out for the blonde curly-haired girly (Iona?) giggling and gesticulating over a letter during silent lunch. Ooh, they all need such a smack. Fortunately for them the nuns are much more saintly and forebearing than I would be.

yes it was really good! the nuns are so funny! post back when you've watched!

I think Debbi is unbalanced.

I really, really do.

Victoria is going to go shag both her blokes and continue doing so. Are her men also gay lovers? It would appear so.

Iona needs to get laid.

i wonder if people really do find god like that? (debbie)

the blokes certainly seemed to get along with each other!

Hi my name is Debi Ireland (The Convent) (smile)I was the one that was always crying !!! (Sorry)! Its always great to hear what other people have to say about the programme and it opens up the debate. 3 things I want to say:

  1. I am NOT unbalanced !! I was hurt at that comment and it damages my business as a childrens entertainer !(angry)
  2. YES !! it was excruiating being away from my family especially Jamie, I nearly went home so many times.(sad)
  3. Yes I have gained an enormous amount, nothing material in anyway, not a penny in fact but I have come to terms with a very traumatic childhood, not just about my mother leaving ! Please remember that out of the 600!!hours of footage you only got to see 4 hours of a heavily edited documentary. I did it for various personal reasons but also because I felt it might help people in similar circumstances or with the same issues of self worth and self esteem. I have had the painful experience of some people accusing me of being unbalanced and a bad mother, a year ago that would have devasted me. Now after my experience in the Convent.........I am a BRILLIANT MOTHER!! and I was brave enough after 40 years to deal with incredibly painful issues that completley broke me down, I decided to stop running away from myself and try and live the rest of my life in peace and enjoy my last child. If that makes me unbalanced then I suppose you could say I am deliriously happy crazy. I have a blogspot and website (www.majikbunnie.blogspot.com) and (www.majikbunnie.co.uk)if you want to read more about my time in the convent but I am looking forward to joining in the conversation here on mumsnet.
