Well, when I say almost what I mean is the 29th September in the US, and I think we were a week behind last series so early October - roll on the Autumn.

. One of the comments says that at the end Brodie says in Arabic "I am a muslim lost in this world..help me come clean again".

I CANNOT wait. I've missed Carrie so much. And Saul. Anyone sad enough to join me in the anticipation?

Mrs Brody actress had a baby boy on Tuesday.

unitarian · 27/10/2013 01:16

I'm enjoying it. I've discovered that I understand the plot a lot better if I switch on subtitles. 'Brody sighs' came up a lot last week!

I think Saul is a good guy but becoming CIA chief means he has to protect the CIA's reputation so he had to publicly disown Carrie as there is no evidence that Brody didn't set the car bomb. He's also protecting her by keeping her in the hospital until she's well enough to go get the evidence and find out who really did it.
Salieri seems to have risen high since then so maybe it was him?

Fiderer · 27/10/2013 07:21

Grin at "Brody sighs". I haven't been on this thread because I couldn't wait to watch the UK airing so was a week ahead. Stopped doing that now as a) posting is odd when I knew what came next week and

b) What has happened to Homeland? Don't think I can keep this brief Wink

Saul is still a Good Egg, am convinced. But - that comment to Fara about the headscarf? Not like Saul at all, no one else present so for no one elses's benefit. Motivate her? Too blunt & overdone. To show us the changes since the bombing? The strike on the 6 did that. And ratting on Carrie? Could believe he'd do that to keep her safe but how could she get back to the CIA after that and, again, not Saul-like to hurt her like that.

Which brings me to Carrie & the meds. Don't buy that she went off them because she "missed something". Had she been off them since the bombing? She'd have been fairly psychotic right away, and what part could she have played in tracking down the finances of the bombing? She'd have right in the middle of all that. Plus, she would never have gone to the press, furious, manic or furiously manic or not.

The Dana story is infuriating, why the focus on her again? The Finn storyline went on far too long for what it was supposed to show (her faced with secrets, lies) but why should we care? What has it to do with the story, seems like Finn2, and poor Silent Chris has no life. Don't care where Mike is but odd that he isn't mentioned. Still, only one Brody family meal and Jessica was at least trying to emote without the cookery props of old.

Brody & Carrie: yes we get the parallels, imprisonment, isolation, drugs, she wants Saul and he wants Carrie. Visually great but half an episode of that would have done. Manic Carrie getting on my nerves now.

Why are the Venezuelans keeping Brody (no where to go) if they're helping him? May as well put him out of his misery. So, bad writing or long storyline? The girl was bad writing, she should open a language school with her talents.

So, has it gone off the rails or is everything I've picked on all Part of The Plot?

Quinn lovely still though, I'd watch for him alone.

Hassled · 27/10/2013 07:28

Fiderer - I'm keeping the faith and am willing myself to believe it is All Part of the Plot.

By the end of the season the scales will have fallen away from our eyes and we'll be going "Of course! That's why Dana shagging in a laundry room was relevant! Now I see why the Venezuelan girl had such an aptitude for languages! No wonder Mike has disapparated - it all makes sense now!".

I will not be watching it tonight on account of Going Away. Damn those pesky holidays and their Homeland-interference.

Good thing I came back to take your place Grin Honestly, being on the Homeland threads was half the fun last series. Have learned my lesson.

GypsyFloss · 27/10/2013 07:36

I am going to miss tonight but have read ahead. Damn.

cocoleBOO · 27/10/2013 08:36

Damn good or damn bad?

Fiderer · 27/10/2013 08:45

cocole Careful, it's a slippery slope. You start asking questions and trying to gauge reactions and pretty soon you're scouring the internet for streaming sites and thinking at work, "Oh, good, Homeland was on in the US last night" and looking forward to getting home. Then there are the blogs...

cocoleBOO · 27/10/2013 14:13

Oh no not me, I studiously ignore anything going on so I dont spoil it for myself DH is a different matter.

I could barely look at the internet when it was the final epidode of Dexter Hmm.

GypsyFloss · 27/10/2013 16:11

coco bad Grin
However since writing that I have found out that due to an almighty cock-up on my part I am now in for the evening. Unfortunately the sky dish doesn't like wind so I might be watching it on a tiny telly in the kitchen.

fussychica · 27/10/2013 18:17

We've given up on the whole thing - feels like one big repeat but with the storyline moved around to confuse you. The girl with the aptitude for languages was pretty wacky too.

Lighthousekeeping · 27/10/2013 18:45

I deleted it off my planner last week Sad I'm dying to know what the viewing figures are.

SmellyFartado · 27/10/2013 20:34

Evening All,

Am vair excited for tonight's episode.

Gratuitous link to the lovely Quinn

RunFatGirlRun · 27/10/2013 20:58

Evening all! Settling in for what I feel sure will be The Episode Where We Find Out Saul Is a Wrong'Un Grin

HazeltheMcWitch · 27/10/2013 21:10

That is waaaaaay too much blush.
An she did 3 fingerfuls on her left cheek, and only 1 on her right.

difficultpickle · 27/10/2013 21:10

I missed the bit on the likely owner of the football club (not the goalkeeper who is dead).

HazeltheMcWitch · 27/10/2013 21:11

(focussing on the blush ishoo as I did not really get what Good Saul and NewLady were on about just then)

difficultpickle · 27/10/2013 21:12

Is Abul Nazer the football team suspected owner? Anyone??

northender · 27/10/2013 21:17

Is Abu Nasir not dead?

HazeltheMcWitch · 27/10/2013 21:21

Yup, Abu Nazir is dead.
And that is all I know.

difficultpickle · 27/10/2013 21:22

That's what I thought. Glad to see Mike back.

WipsGlitter · 27/10/2013 21:22

Mikes back!!!!!!

FriskyHenderson · 27/10/2013 21:26

What?
I read the spoilers and I still don't get it Blush

cocoleBOO · 27/10/2013 21:30

Mikes looking at bit thin.

GypsyFloss · 27/10/2013 21:31

Mike the faithful is back, Carrie is being courted by the baddies, as for the owner of the football team ...haven't a clue. Just a mumble. Some Iranian fella?
