Is there a general Emmerdale thread?

I've found a couple of threads about particular characters but was wondering if there was one just for general observations and if we could have a hands up to see if anyone else cried at Brenda's hair thing. I thought all those tears and smiles looked real

Can someone clear something up for me please?
Diane is Bernice's mother. Nicola is Bernice's sister, so is Diane Nicola's mother too, as she doesn't seem to call her so?
Is Rodney dad to both of them? Or were there other marriages? I'm confused.

Just thinking the same Aquelven. Diane isn't Nicola's mother though. But sure everyone in soaps has been married 5 times and has kids with the husband's brother or whoever.

Rodney is dad of both but they have different mums. I cant remember who Nicola's mum is. they weren't raised together and i'm not sure if they even knew of each other growing up. and if I remember correctly, they also have a brother called paul who is val's son to Rodney.

I think they used to have a scam going where she pretended to be a prostitute and somehow managed to get their car keys or something and cain made off with the cars. it was a few years ago though so i'm a bit sketchy on it tbh.

I quite enjoyed the Charity and Cain caper in the hotel. Possibly just because Cain looks so hot in his suit though Grin. It was good though properly funny when Jai showed up but without getting farcical.

yes nugget! it reminded me of old style cain and charity from back in the day- good fun to watch. they have good on screen chemistry not like her and jai. and yum to the suited and booted cain- although I've liked him since he got with moira and had a moral compass installed.

I've liked Cain for ages ever since he got rid of that horrible greasy bowl haircut. Like him more recently alright since he got nicer but not sure I'd like him and Charity back together have gone off her lately. Maybe she's just too boring with Jai. Wish she'd find out about the baby.
