I am so excited!

DH takes over all catering for this fortnight (he does it at other times too) so I can plump my cushions, grab the handchange & get watching.

I'd like to be saying who I was putting my money on to win - but I really can't decide between Rafa, Federer Djokovitch & Murray.

I'd just say that it will be one of them and, sadly, I'd put Andy in last place.

Two weeks of tennis coming up!!

none of the finesse of Federer or Djokovic

I think the one that wins this match is the one that gets utterly exhausted the slowest

and am I going mad or is there faint music coming from the match on tv now? if i put the mute button on I cant hear any music. Really faint but it seems to come from there, unless the camera/soundman is near a radio?

I thought the williams/shrieka thing was originally serena (totally NOT apt name!) was bitching about marias boyf who serena used to go out with and also the fact she thinks Marias boring in interviews and then it went from there?

I doubt it will be the longest tennis thread- the other year we managed to fill one in a day, that was a memorable one- was the day Djokovic played Baghdatis and threw a tantrum on court

Ferrer was winning the first set with ease- then fell badly inthe second, which he lost. He hasn't been quite the same since, and has just fallen again- but is winning the match at least.

I like Ferrer. Him and Robredo are my fave Spanish players at the moment.

All time fave Spanish player was Sergi Brugura. Now HE was good

He needs to get this over quickly.

Robredo was brilliant at the French- he played so well.

Or even Bruguera! Look at Ferrer. he just gets up and carries on. no drama.
