Matt Smith is leaving :(

Just read that Matt Smith will be leaving Dr.Who at the end of the Christmas episode this year.

When he was announced as the new Dr, I had never heard of him and was a little unsure about what to expect. For me, he has turned out to be one of the best Doctors - and I speak as someone who was watching from around 1966 onwards and who has missed very few, if any, episodes since then.

So now the speculation will begin about who will take over the role.Over to you ladies, who do you think should be the next Doctor?

Ok, Chiwetel Ejiofor can do it, but only if he uses his character from Kinky Boots, that should keep everybody happy .

DH and I both think Clara Oswald should regenerate into the Dr. Can't see her as a side kick to anyone else and we think she is fab - even if people don't like her elsewhere on the thread.

Eddie Izzard - would be amusing if he kept breaking into French and saying 'badger' every now and again. But I think he has other plans...

Idris Elba...yum. Equally, Jason Isaac...love him. Eddie Izzard is lovely but he's not Dr Who.
