Luther - Series 3?

Anyone know when Luther, Series 3 is starting.

I guess that it will be in the Autumn, but don't know.

Thanks for the replies. Alice sounds awful - I am going to have to watch series one and two to see how it works. Luther helping her escape sounds so far-fetched.

Methinks Idris Elba's next move is a Luther film.

Alice is really not awful!

You have to watch the first two series to get a feel for her though, if you understand her back story then she isn't really awful.

Her character works well alongside Luthers.

I loved it. Hope we don't have to wait too long for the Next series if there is one . Was glad to see Alice return.

As much as I LOVE Luther I didn't like the ending.

Alice is a brilliant character but her and John and a couple is just a no no.

Ds is sure this is the last ever. Idris is doing so well with films now he may not want to do tv anymore :(

The coat in the river made me well up a bit.

To me the Erin Grey look at the end seemed a bit like unfinished business.

I thought it was brill, the ending was a great twist, bring on the next series, think Alice is great.

Very sad to see the coat bobbing away...love luther and worried about his leg....happy to play nurse any time. Very powerful ending with him vindicating himself. Loved seeing Alice again., she should have her own series.

I don't think there will be a series 4, I'm sure idris said in an interview that this 4part series would be the last, I believe there's talk of a film though

there is talk of a Luther film. I thought it had a good ending tonight.

I love Alice. I was a bit surprised at the end but loved the pull away from the kiss. They weren't 'a couple' but they share a bond. I really love Alice. And her nail.

And - there was a certain frisson between Mary and Alice ..............

I would be happy with the ending if I knew there would be another series.

It just felt unresolved to me.

But I thought Idris said there would be a film ? (maybe that was wishful thinking)

I don't remember Alice but she's a bit too comic book for me! She is very pretty though.

Why didn't anyone say - "I see you have a hole in your leg - you might want a plaster for that".

I suspect there won't be any more but am hoping for a film or at least a film length telly-special.
