I'm sorry but does anyone else just piss themselves during the trailer when Eve Whatserface says "I need a man as strong as I am" and the man says "where on earth will you find one of those?"
Cringeworthy cliche central...

There's a list of the songs used in each episode on the internet. Smile

PigeonStreet · 24/05/2013 16:10

Ooh ta!

Only watched the first ep up to now but have got a new found respect for district nurses now after they nursed my dear mum. She died of cancer in February and the district nurses were all fab and lovely. Some even became great friends to me and my sister and helped us through a very traumatic time.

Why is Frankie on tonight instead of last night??? I HATE it when the schedules are changed around. Angry

Horsemad · 29/05/2013 21:25

Sooo anyone watching?

PictureThis · 29/05/2013 21:40

Anyone else find the GP's attitude a bit unrealistic?

Horsemad · 29/05/2013 22:03

Mmm, not sure really; I know a few GPs like that unfortunately.
In fact, the GP character reminds me of one I know quite well!

Found tonight's prog a bit irritating though.

SpanishFly · 30/05/2013 22:36

I STILL can't bear the "she's mad and wacky and awesome!!!!!!!" type of character. She's REALLY pissed off at the doctor and is potentially about to lose her job,, and says to the radio "I'm not in the mood, Ken!" Um......no. You'd be upset, raging, NUTS.

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/05/2013 22:41

Intensely irritating and totally unrealistic representation of HCPs.

And I'm still waiting to hear a single Bristol accent!

Wordy McWord. And I just knew she'd run off to find the missing boy right at the point she was supposed to be attending the REALLY IMPORTANT meeting that would determine her entire future.

As for all that 'thinking she's letting the team down but obviously not because they're all so dedicated and inspired by her'...aaarrrrggghhhh! Working for a maverick boss who breaks the rules, goes waaaaay beyond the extra mile to the point of putting their entire private life on hold, jeopardises working relationships with other professionals with whom the team has to work, ignores safeguarding & H&S principles, makes promises they can't necessarily keep to clients and gets herself suspended thus adding to an already-stretched team's caseload is NOT inspiring. It's exhausting, exasperating and makes good members of staff feel inadequate and/or unreasonable for wanting some work-life balance.

XBenedict · 04/06/2013 20:50

I'm still really enjoying it! But then I'm easily pleased Grin

XBenedict · 04/06/2013 21:02

Anyone watching with me?

smokinaces · 04/06/2013 21:13

I'm about ten minutes behind real time Benedict but am here. I actually really really like this series.

Horsemad · 04/06/2013 21:13

Yes X, I am!

ExitPursuedByABear · 04/06/2013 21:14

It's annoying me more than ever the week.

ExitPursuedByABear · 04/06/2013 21:14

This

Horsemad · 04/06/2013 21:15

I don't dislike it, but it drives me mad! Grin

XBenedict · 04/06/2013 21:18

What are you annoyed about Exit?

Evening Smok and horse Smile

Horsemad · 04/06/2013 21:22

To annoy me further, the flippin tv keeps losing the signal so I'm missing bits, grrrr.

OrangeFireandGoldashes · 04/06/2013 21:23

I'm still watching and marginally less annoyed than I have been so far, possibly because there has been less Eve Myles so far!

Awww she's alright Smile

smokinaces · 04/06/2013 21:25

Its quite predictable and I don't think its trying to be a true representation of anything, its drama. But I like the frankie character. Reminds me a bit of me!
