I thought it would all be stretched out a bit, it was too rushed.
I agree with you BeerTricks, it made her lovely, quirky books too simplistic.
But whatever, I'll keep watching, though I wish it was Kate Atkinson rather than a script writer in the next episodes.

I didn't like the way he had to sort out Tracey with passports rather than her doing it herself as in the book - Jackson to the rescue!

Also, I tell you what, he is going to be Punished for all the smoking. They can't have a main and likeable character puffing away non-stop and going for runs and being fine - he's going to have a heart attack or something.

As luck would have it, they are both on school trips as of tomorrow.

Unfortunately this is clashing with having shedloads of other, really tedious stuff to do

I don't know the books but enjoyed this. Watched the 1st series last week too.

Bit disappointed - watched it last night and thought it would have been pretty confusing if you hadn't read the book.

Will be watching tomorrow night though - well I couldn't miss Jason could I?

and I don't like the fact that his ex girlfriend who, despite being recently married, seems to still have feelings for him.
