Remind me about his financial situation please. I seem to remember him having property in France now he looks like he hasn't got two pennies to rub together yet happily gave that twenty grand away.

thegreylady · 20/05/2013 21:19

I really enjoyed that-can't wait for next week's.

I thought it would all be stretched out a bit, it was too rushed.
I agree with you BeerTricks, it made her lovely, quirky books too simplistic.
But whatever, I'll keep watching, though I wish it was Kate Atkinson rather than a script writer in the next episodes.

CJCregg · 21/05/2013 14:24

Fucking hell. I missed it Angry

CJCregg · 21/05/2013 14:26

Not repeated. Broadband too slow for iplayer.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 21/05/2013 14:29

I didn't like the way he had to sort out Tracey with passports rather than her doing it herself as in the book - Jackson to the rescue!

Also, I tell you what, he is going to be Punished for all the smoking. They can't have a main and likeable character puffing away non-stop and going for runs and being fine - he's going to have a heart attack or something.

Grin

As luck would have it, they are both on school trips as of tomorrow.

Unfortunately this is clashing with having shedloads of other, really tedious stuff to do Angry

But I'm sure I'll fit it in somewhere.

Fiderer · 21/05/2013 18:46

I don't know the books but enjoyed this. Watched the 1st series last week too.

Sorry for hijack, Heavenly Grin

CJCregg · 21/05/2013 19:18

Grin Hello Debbie. I have done.

fussychica · 23/05/2013 15:54

Just back from holiday to find your message - so I've missed Episode 1. Will catch up on iplayer.

Love Jackson Brodie, love Kate Atkinson & lust after Jason IsaacsGrin

CJCregg · 23/05/2013 18:55

Yup, that about sums it up, fussychica Grin

fussychica · 25/05/2013 21:25

Bit disappointed - watched it last night and thought it would have been pretty confusing if you hadn't read the book.

Will be watching tomorrow night though - well I couldn't miss Jason could I? Grin

PacificDogwood · 27/05/2013 19:52

I thought there is not going to be another Jackson Brodie book??
Hence me being prepared to get my hit wherever possible, even t'telly Grin.

I quite liked it - had to watch it twice. I now want to reread the book.
Was there one on yesterday?

Davros · 28/05/2013 13:19

Shame they replaced the dog with a child, I much preferred the dog

Salbertina · 29/05/2013 08:46

Not read the books and found rather confusing. And tedious.

waikikamookau · 30/05/2013 08:44

didn't like the child, how old is she meant to be.

waikikamookau · 30/05/2013 13:30

and I don't like the fact that his ex girlfriend who, despite being recently married, seems to still have feelings for him.

disappointed on the whole in this which is a shame.

Lighthousekeeping · 30/05/2013 14:02

I said that when I started the other thread. It's so disappointing but, I remember us all saying the same thing last time. I've deleted it from my planner.

PacificDogwood · 30/05/2013 22:08

Ok, I watched the 2nd one the other night - and I cannot remember a thing about it.

It's crap, isn't it? Sad

mewkins · 31/05/2013 09:19

Found episode one confusing despite having rwad the book! Episode two easier to follow. Love the charactersand actors

limitedperiodonly · 31/05/2013 10:30

Like Archie in Emmerdale, Nit? He was the only character who smoked and a plane fell on him That's not on the packet warnings. Grin
