Ah. Brilliant theory about the phone messages - they couldn't have been from Danny, as he was dead by then so they were from the killer to Tom.

Regard to the skateboard,

do we know it was with his body? Only from Susan. So say she didn't find it with his body - but someone gave it to her, or she found it at the hut, maybe Danny was going to the hut on his skateboard that night and that's how she came by it.

Oh, I am so excited. I am going to take all the Broadchurch threads off my Threads I'm Watching now though. We don't have a TV but I will be grabbing the laptop as early as I can tomorrow morning and watching it as I feed DD2! I don't want to see any clues overnight though so will have to hang out in Good housekeeping or something overnight for the night feeds!

That was it really-just 'dont miss the finale and watch to end of the credits'..I cant wait-so excited here!

Can someone remind me about Ellie's sister - have watched religiously, but can't remember her .
My money is on Ellie's son or husband (or some combination of the two) - purely on the basis that they have not yet fallen under suspicion and on the basis of her comments to Susan (though this could perhaps also apply to her sister - please remind me!)
Why if Danny was killed in the hut he was then transported by boat to be laid on the beach. Why not just lob his body over the cliff? Or get rid of his body in a secret location?
Who called police on Danny's phone and was then chased from the hut? Why go back to the hut? Who does the hut belong to?
My feeling is anyone who looks overly suspicious - Susan, cross-bow man, the shifty vicar - is probably a red herring!

Speaking to DM about it and she says maybe Danny found the £500 when cleaning for Susan/ Elaine in the empty hut (and left his skateboard there). The coroner mentioned he had cleaning fluid on him when the body was found. However, this could be to get rid of the diesel that might link him to Nige. I don't buy this quite but thought I'd throw it in here!

Also, I rewatched episodes 1 and 2 the other night and Olly mentioned a blown fuse at the newspaper office, which made me think maybe it's all something to do with Steve the phone guy? As he was also (I think) walking into the newspaper office in the morning of the first episode.

I don't think I have ever been so excited for a tv programme. I am missing my book group because I can't bear to delay finding out by a minute. Wavering madly on who I think it is. Sticking with Ollie as he was my first guess deduction.

Delurking here. As I think someone else mentioned, I have enjoyed this thread as much as the programme itself! I'm seriously impressed by the detective work you lot have gone through.

Heard on a trailer for tonight's final that only 29 people know how all this ends. I cannot wait to find out!

Oh my god, 9.10pm, really? So that makes me think, as someone else said, they will get the wrong person and we won't know who it really was until the end.
