One had the Epi so can't be p and about and the other us on the monitor for whatever reason. Thanks to my DDs awkward position I had to be flat in the bed for monitoring Hmm

chickensaladagain · 20/03/2013 21:49

Perhaps as she is by herself she wanted the epidural so she didn't get to the point of feeling out of control when she had no support?

Although I agree she is very irritating

Thingiebob · 20/03/2013 21:50

Nope. My mum lives 30 mins away but without her I don't know anyone who would be happy looking after my DD at such short notice.

SoupDreggon · 20/03/2013 21:53

How big was the c-section baby?

I love how Butlins dad winced when he looked between her legs Grin

IrrelevantElephant · 20/03/2013 21:57

Butlins girl is doing this with not much more than a few whimpers- superwoman!!

girliefriend · 20/03/2013 21:58

Amazing she did really well!!

ellesabe · 20/03/2013 21:58

I was really Grin when the Butlins woman's G&A mouthpiece came away!

pigleychez · 20/03/2013 21:58

I had to leave DD1 with a neighbour for about 20 mins till my mum arrived as she lived 50 miles away.

Neighbour is in her 70's and we had to wake her at 6am to look after 21mths old DD1. Thankfully she didnt mind at all and was happy to help.
If we had waited for my mum any longer then DD would of been born in the car at the side of the road. As it was she would have been born in the carpark had it not been for 2 lovely nurses starting shift seeing me and grabbing a wheel chair for me and rushing up to delivery suite.

SoupDreggon · 20/03/2013 21:58

I can still remember that feeling of relief as the rest of the baby slithered out after the head :)

Birth is AMAZING! I am in awe of every woman who has a normal birth,

Women are sensational!

Zatopek · 20/03/2013 22:01

"I am in awe of every woman who has a normal birth"

I am in awe of every woman who gives birth fullstop!

SoupDreggon · 20/03/2013 22:02

It doesn't seem so amazing or sensational from the business end so to speak :) at least I don't remember it like that. It's only seeing OBEM that I realise how amazing it is.

Only problem is that it brings back every single vivid memory of the pain.
