I also get a bit forlorn about my tiny kitchen with virtually no worktop space when I see lovely spacious tv kitchens with acres of worktops

Really feel for you , get the book, handmade bread is so much nicer than from a bread maker (although very convenient for fresh bread first thing in the morning). We could have a bread off

I should give it a try by hand first..we need to sort out the temp on our oven though. My cakes keep burning.

The fire was very stressful, but we were very lucky in lots of ways (we weren't there) but it was so upsetting having to throw DD's toys away.

I don't really like seeing him handling other food, it should be strictly baking products only. It's not right . I bet his nails are clean
