sugarfree · 21/05/2006 22:07

I was so enjoying watching Harry and his brothers tucking into their spaghetti with so much enthusiasm. Then Dad (with good intentions,I'm sure)interfered and Harry had a meltdown.Poor wee man!Sad.
I would shut Amelia and her screaming in a cupboard.

TheMammy · 21/05/2006 22:11

Oh SF me too!!!! Amelia seems to be one highly strung and spoiled little lady. She so needs to be told to calm down.

I also felt sorry for Harry when they tried cutting his spaghetti up...why couldn't they leave him alone??

I can't remember the name of the other little boy, the one who doesn't go to bed at night? But I could deffo see some friction between his mum and dad... plus Amelias mum and this wee boys dad seemed to have a spark going on Wink

2shoes · 21/05/2006 22:22

i couldn't see why the dad didn't leave the little chap to eat it the way he wanted to

sparklemagic · 21/05/2006 23:17

Ooh, yes the parents of Harry just created themselves a situation by cutting up his spaghetti, he was doing fine! Interesting...they say he's extremely independent, maybe it's they who are extremely controlling!

Sorry to be blunt here but WHAT are the parents of the little boy who won't go to bed, up to??? 'Tiring him out' by letting him play till midnight! I will be interested to see how our Tan manages to get their selfish heads round getting their DS a healthy routine built round his needs, not his dad's need to see him after work!

morgansauntie · 22/05/2006 08:05

Don't know about others but sometimes I have trouble getting into a new week when the previous one has been brilliant.

Have the last 3 weeks sent Tanya and Claudia competely bonkers given the way they were laughing hysterically at the cushion fight incident it was funny but was it that funny.

Jesse's parents idea of a sleep routine is rather unusual he needs some cream for his eczema

sugarfree · 22/05/2006 08:17

Jesse and his dad seem to have a really lovely relationship.I think that if they get him up at reasonable o clock in the morning and then Dad does a wind-down routine(bath/drink/story/bed) and then some rapid return, they'll be fine.
Easy to say from the sofa isn't it?Wink
Aren't the 2 babies a pair of smoochies?Gorgeous cheeks.Smile

Jessajam · 22/05/2006 11:59

Amelias mum! Did you see the colour she went when Tanya gently (oh SO gently) hinted that maybe (just maybe) she was a bit controlling (holding your 4yo's hand to draw a flimmin house ffs!!)
Hopw Tanya's feeling brave cos I'd be scared!

Agree re spaghetti, thought he was doing a grand job! Felt SO sorry for Harry.

cod · 22/05/2006 12:43

cant wait to see this it soudns a corker

Jessajam · 22/05/2006 13:02

it could well be!

FWIW I too have to Skyplus and watch when DH is otherwise engaged, so I'm usually a day or two behind!

cod · 22/05/2006 13:03

mine is a abroad a lto so it s cool ghere

wannaBe1974 · 22/05/2006 13:04

tbh I'm not surprised that Jessy doesn't sleep, considering he's two and still in a travel cot in his parents' bedroom as his Dad's brother sleeps in the other bedroom.

Mog · 22/05/2006 13:06

Cod - there was some seriously bad dress over jeans action. Dress way too long and jeans too short. I can see you salivating now.

IlanaK · 22/05/2006 13:11

I have to say I just about died laughing when Tanya asked what time that little boy got up in the morning. When the parents said 11ish, all I could think was - well, he's getting a pretty good night's sleep then! All they need to do is wake him up early and put him to bed early as he is already doing a longish night!

Jessajam · 22/05/2006 13:13

I think Jesse's mum knows that really....suspect it's more about his dad...

alligator · 22/05/2006 13:21

lol Ilana thats exactly what dp said. Nowt wrong with his sleeping he jsut needs to move it forward a few hours. Also think there is nothing wrong with daddy wanting to see him after work and 9 is fine bedtime if both parents are happy with it. I think its important that the working parent gets time with their kids after work if they can and it works really well for us. the problem was that jesse's parent couldnt agree on a bedtime or much else for that matter and just need to sort out a decent routine.

hhhhhhmmmm Anyone notice that dad and mum didnt agree how long hte brother wa staying for either!!!

Jessajam · 22/05/2006 13:46

alligator - me too. DS has quite a late bedtime, but sleeps 12 hours through most nights and goes down like a dream (warm milk, cuddles, story etc bed). The timing fits in with my working hours and Dhs working hours and his nursery timings too (we would - and will - change it if it started to compromise his day, and plan to do just as IlanaK says - wake him up a bit earlier every few days until he reaches the time we're aiming for)
Think Jesse's parents have different understanding of words...he responded full time meaning he is always there overnight not on and off as opposed to he will be there forever...???? Same with Tanya saying put him down to sleep as normal the mum thought this meant follow usual routibe even thought he will end up in your bed, the dada thought it meant if he ends up in your bed, put him in there....!!!!

Bomper · 22/05/2006 14:04

Did anyone feel sorry for Harry's big brother? Large over-reaction over his fight with Harry, considering Harry started it by not wanting to give his brother a go on the tractor, then after his time out he had done Harry a picture and said sorry, and they all but ignored him!!! I had a huge lump in my throat, poor little mite. Then when Harry threw an almighty strop over next to nothing he get loads of hugs and kisses Sad

MagicGenie · 22/05/2006 14:11

'Tis nice for both parents to spend time but I thought Jesse's Dad sounded like a right selfish get, personally.

Thought Tanya looked very nice in her green top last night, BTW.

Jessajam · 22/05/2006 14:13

Think he is fully determined to wear the trousers....

mind you, most of the time 1st impressions get turned right around when I watch HoTT

sugarfree · 22/05/2006 14:15

Oh Gawd!! That bleeding tractor, not one parent out of six had the wit to remove it and stop tantrum after tantrum.
