fuzzyfelt · 18/05/2006 13:29

Just looked up Tanya Byron on Wilkipedia and it says she has 2 children called Lily and jack and is married to someone from The Bill.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr_Tanya_Byron

Don't know how to do links.

Pete is not bad and thought he was lovely until last nights blip. Hope he makes amends tonight! Is it finishing tonight then as we had double bill last night?

I love Charlie's dad too - lovely voice.

fuzzyfelt · 18/05/2006 13:35

Married to DC Terr Wilkins from The Bill.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr_Tanya_Byron

Forgot to include underscores before and still can't do links!

wannaBe1974 · 18/05/2006 18:34

double bill last night was because it's not on tonight because, instead of it we have ... the eurovision semi-finals! lucky UK don't have to qualify or we'd be screwed, lol

renaldo · 18/05/2006 18:37

why has rosies mum such bad hair? and can you be that traumatised by a difficult birth? the baby was fine afer resus - not being mean as my dd was a terrible birth/recus but loved her immediately with no guilt - i wonder did something happen during the pregnancy to make her so guilty? (thats dh's theory btw)

cod · 18/05/2006 18:37

cod · 18/05/2006 18:38

ye sher hair si bad
like rocky raccon

fuzzyfelt · 18/05/2006 19:37

Oh no they're repeating last nights episode on BBC3 at the mo. Not even a total HoTT addict like me can watch Rosie's 2 hour lunch and listen to that teddy bear again!

Agree terrible hair. One of the other Mum's on HoTT had those drastic highlights a couple of weeks ago - have only seen them flatter a few people. Mund you Dr Tanya has some dodgy red lowlights going on in some older episodes onf Little Angels. She looks far more chic these days.

FrayedKnot · 18/05/2006 20:47

Withdrawal is painful...why the repeat?

I LOVE the way that when Claudia wasn;t preggers she presented with a fairly deadpan whaddoIknow face almost mocking the poor parents, now she is about to drop I swear she looks more and more Sh*t scared every time anotehr tantrum kicks off.

jalopy · 18/05/2006 20:50

Ha ha, frayedknot. You're dead right!

TicTacsMum · 19/05/2006 19:01

I got the shock of my life today. I was in a shop in Aberdeenshire - never even been to the town before. Was killing some time and went in to the shop with dd, 5 months. Who was serving but Matthew's mum!! She actually seemed really nice (ok - probably cos she was talking to dd and telling her she was beautiful!!). When she saw dd she told me it was going to make her lactate as it was her wee boy's second day in nursery and something about giving her breast pump bottles away!!

Not sure why but it freaked me out a bit. Was desperate to say something but couldn't as i was thinking 'i know SO much about you'!

singersgirl · 19/05/2006 19:29

Dr Tanya must be 39 since she was apparently year below me at school - I'm just about to turn 40. I've missed the last 2 nights of this but thank goodness this thread is here to put me straight.

Mog · 19/05/2006 21:01

Aahh! Big hugs everyone. Hands up if you want to be a clinical psychologist?

Mog · 19/05/2006 21:02

What shop were you in Tictacs as Angela talked about opening a shop?

TicTacsMum · 19/05/2006 21:06

Did she Mog - I don't remember that bit.

She was working in a gorgeous shop called Annie Mo's Too in Alford. It sells really nice wooden furniture and other bits & pieces & gifts for the home. Also has a small selection of high quality kids' clothes and toys. The original Annie Mo's is in Aberdeen and opened in 1992 so it seems to be an offshoot of that.

Whizzz · 19/05/2006 21:10

It's just a brill prog isn't it ! I'm sure though if everyone had intensive help for a week then it would be easier to sort out many a problem

unicorn · 19/05/2006 21:19

brill programme- but does anyone wonder what happens afterwards- and are there any plans to do follow ups 'At home with the Tiny Tearaways'??

I think it makes great TV... But..... just how realistic is it? and ultimately how helpful for the families?

I am curious as to what their contract involves (don't talk to the press for xxxx afterwards?)
Please correct me if you know otherwise.

TicTacsMum · 19/05/2006 21:20

Anyone know how long in advance they are filmed?

fireflyfairy2 · 19/05/2006 21:44

What happened tonight???

MY EVIL hubby dragged me off shopping and I missed it Sad

morgansauntie · 19/05/2006 21:47

hi all
i am new to this forum but decided to post as i know the answer to the last question
tanya was on bbc breakfast last thursday 11th may
she said that after the programme she was going straight to the house as she was working with the families we have been watching this week so it has only been filmed a week in advance
i think dr tanya is an amazing women its a brilliant show and this is a great forum

fuzzyfelt · 19/05/2006 21:48

Aaah another week over and just had a good blub as they all left the house!
Think the Bunyons and Charlie's family will do fine. McArdles a bit iffy but hopfully they know what to do now. Does make you wonder how things would have turned out without help now.
Not too sure how far in advance it's filmed tho' looks recent as weather quite good and Matthew was wearing this seasons Boden clothes!

fuzzyfelt · 19/05/2006 22:02

Fireflyfairy2 - tonight the families all had their closing consultations with Dr T.
The McArdles seemed realxed and happy and said they had learnt that Matthew's problems were rooted in their bickering and tension and they had learnt what was important in life. Then they cried.
Charlie's parents said they were leaving full of hope after arriving thinking Charlie would be mute forever. They blubbed a bit.
The Bunyons handed Dr T journals of Rosie's birth story for her to burn to help them have closure on that event. They blubbed too.
Dr T said she wouldn't be surprised if the this weeks families rented a holiday house as they bonded so well as a group.

morgansauntie · 19/05/2006 22:39

just remembered another piece of gossip while googling found a website where they are looking for american families living in the U.S or Britian to take part in an American version of the house of tiny tearaways with dr tanya byron
(called the house of tiny terrors)
the series is to filmed in this country not the U.S so i presume they will be using the same big red house
something to look forward to Grin

misdee · 20/05/2006 19:53

fuzzyfelt, it was filmed very recnetly, the leaflets about looking for families only went up at harefield in april.

2shoes · 21/05/2006 21:28
