I loved the way that Smash Hits had the Most Very Horrible Thing award. Won IIRC by spiders 8 years running! Grin

I'm a bit behind but the bonus is I can whizz through lots of it.

Loving Mumford and Sons. They should have won best live act.

Love Ben Howard and Tom Odell and Alt-J.

And now I'm caught up and can't fast forward any more. Bollocks.

Looking forward to seeing Mumford and Sons though Grin

Raahh · 20/02/2013 21:47

Jelly -itwas- had some very haunting covers- Sinead O'Connor did 'Ode to Billy Joe', think Suede did 'Shipbuilding'. Need to look it up- it was very 1995- but brilliant all the same.

TaggieCampbellBlack · 20/02/2013 21:47

Battery dying..... Like my Brit enthusiasm......

Snazzynewyear · 20/02/2013 21:47

And I think it was the inestimable Smash Hits where George Michael was asked if the Choose Life t-shirts were an anti-abortion slogan and said no, he'd seen them in a shop but thought they said 'Loose Life' so bought them Grin

wannabedomesticgoddess · 20/02/2013 21:47

I am only 25 and I dont know who a lot of them are.

The brits used to be exciting. WTF happened?

IncognitoIsMyFavouriteWord · 20/02/2013 21:48

Why did they actually stop doing smash hits?

Did everyone used to watch it while decorating their Christmas tree like me and my sister used to?

Snazzynewyear · 20/02/2013 21:48

This last bit feels like hard work.

Incognito Couldn't compete with free internet material innit

RedPencils · 20/02/2013 21:49

Who's the lifetime achievement award this year? I'm still having nightmares about Blur's shit karaoke themed performance last year.

Jellykat · 20/02/2013 21:50

Thought it was.. I've still got it on cassette Raahh Grin

IncognitoIsMyFavouriteWord · 20/02/2013 21:50

Yeah I guess but really if they put the effort in they could have adapted

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 20/02/2013 21:51

I don't know who most of them are. However, I get my kicks by watching One Direction and perving over the young Mr Styles, so I'm pretty much in my element here Grin I like the drinking games idea someone had too!

TaggieCampbellBlack · 20/02/2013 21:51

Ooooh. Mumford.
