I guess I just don't like the Rayna character!

I think that she seems to have no sympathy at for Juliette & is happy to laugh at her with Liam.

She's in her 40s-she should know better!

Can I join you? I am a hug fan of Nashville!

I can't quite blelieve I love the music so much!

I though Juliette was great when she went to the church and sand this song

I think Juliette and Rayna are both great. And Gunner is super hot.

Italiangreyhound · 24/04/2013 00:00

Sorry that should be can I join you, please? And sang not sand!!

I also can't believe Peggy is the young bride from Father of the Bride!!

I cheered when Deacon and Rayna kissed Blush Grin

No surprise that Teddy wants a divorce, he'll go off with Peggy and hopefully Rayna and Deacon will end up back together but I'm sure it won't be easy!

Loved Gunnar punching Avery, about time someone did that. He's had it coming for weeks now.

I love the 'One Works Better' song Scarlett does with the band, probably my favourite song so far.

I find Juliette's manager creepy, but that may be down to his weird badly dyed hair?!
I like how Juliette and Deacon's friendship has developed. Find Rayna a bit meh to be honest

I don't think that Deacon & Rayna are suited.

And would it work?

It's all hankering after what ifs from the past imo.

Don't like Scarlett much & quite like the idea of Juliette & Gunnar.

I like One Works Better as well - a kick arse song. Thank god Scarlett isn no longer so bloody drippy.

Like the developing plotline about Rayna branching out with her own label, I was wondering how Scarlett and Gunnar were going to be 'discovered'.

Teddy's got a bloody cheek asking for a divorce after everything he's done but - hurrah, no loss. Hopefully Rayna will find out he's shagged the Pegster at last, so she won't feel tortured about nearly shagging Deacon.

Feel sorry for Juliette, she is so sweet. But I'm only at the start of the episode on catch up so who knows where it is all going to go!!

Why does everyone like Deacon so much, he reminds me of a kind of slightly hunky geography teacher! So think he should get over Rayna!

Report
LittleAbruzzenBear · 28/04/2013 17:27

I wasn't surprised Ted turned up and said he wanted a divorce, but then hey, Rayna was sitting waiting for Deac. I don't want those two to get together!

TorianaTollywobbles · 28/04/2013 17:52

Love this programme. Anyone know if Deacon knows if Rayna's eldest daughter is his? I get the impression Rayna kept it from him while he was in rehab, and now Deacon probably just thinks she is Teddy's. That will be interesting if it comes out!

I kind of like Rayna and Deacon getting back together, maybe a happy ending for them after everything.

Love this. Have latest episode to watch. Think it's near the end of the series now.

Why the hell is it not on Channel 4 instead of More4? It's better than a lot of the other crap they show.

Gunner is the nephew of a work friend of my DH, who is a great musician. He does a mean American accent. Scarlet's character is annoying - although again her accent is pretty good, i think she must have been watching a lot of Dolly and Loreta because she's Australian.

Liam is Obviously quite modelled on Jack White, who has his recording studios in Nashville and loves Country.

I love the music! Grin
I presume they all are real singers and not miming.

Toriana Deacon has no idea, as far as we know. Can't imagine he'll take it too well if/when she does tell him after all these years!

Shock Nehru Deacon is gorgeous! The character and the guy that plays him...I can't work out who I have a bigger crush on!

9 episodes to go over here bringback And yep, they all do their own singing. Unfairly talented cast, they sing well, they act well, most of them look great...I'm a bit jealous! Grin

I'm wondering how Deacon can't know tbh.

So he was in rehab, & when he got out Rayna was married & pregnant?

Maybe he would have thought that if it was his, she would have told him?

But Rayna's dad knows?

So was he told or did he figure it out?

In which case, why hasn't Deacon?

LittleAbruzzenBear · 29/04/2013 10:18

I think Deacon is nice too. Smile

GreatGretzky · 03/05/2013 00:56

Didn't think tonight's episode was that great...I did love Juliette deciding to ask her Mum to stay with her though. And her massive strop in the hotel in the middle of the night Grin Wonder who'll manage her now that Glen has quit? I could see Deacon trying to guide her, maybe...

Still not sure what to think of Liam, and surprised he's back already! I think he'll end up back in Rayna's band now. No doubt that'll make things even more awkward between Deacon and her!

Italiangreyhound · 03/05/2013 02:19

Felt sorry for the girls, glad Maddie heard her dad on the phone to his 'fancy woman'! Rayna is barmy, going to a bar with old slimmie! Juliette's house is gorgeous and yes GreatGretzky glad she has asked her Momma to move in, not that I can see that one working out well!

Haven't seen it yet, but am tempted. Is it sort of like 'Dallas' for 2013 - only set in Nashville? Does it make you want to travel there?

Report
tribpot · 03/05/2013 20:29

Yep, it's like Dallas with music, it's great!

If we're following a Britney-esque plot for Juliette (not that her poor old manager seems to have done anything very bad or controlling) then a family member taking over her management would be the next thing to happen.

Why has Rayna forgiven Liam? I thought he was sweet in this episode but only if you pretended he hadn't been a louse when they last met.

Gunnar's bro a bit of a pointless interlude - clearly he's got to go back to Texas.

Report
diddl · 03/05/2013 20:50

Rayna & her all about her attitude!

Love it when she gets knocked back.

Thinking that Liam was there for her!!

Juliette's manager did go behind her back though & said that everything should be run by him.

Difficult situation-he obviously had the contacts, but it does seem that she has talent.

Hopefully she'll get on with her Mum & might "grow up" a little & start to see others POV.

Quitre like the idea of Deacon & Juliette's pa.

The cheque for Avery was from the guy (who wasn't even there-just his recorded voice?)?-so just keeping him hanging on?

Report
tribpot · 03/05/2013 20:54

Oh, I thought the cheque was from the lovely Hayley? Not that I give a stuff about Avery one way or another :)

Report
diddl · 03/05/2013 22:05

I wasn't sure.

I thought that she'd offered him 50,000?

But then tend to ff the Avery scenes!

She did offer him 50K, I thought maybe she'd gone higher after some pushing by Horrid Manager Lady.

Btw for a 'packaged' artist like Juliette I'm surprised the manager doesn't run the show to be honest, with veto over changes and all that.

Report
diddl · 04/05/2013 09:04

Could be-but then wouldn't you think he'd remind her properly of her/his contract rather than just tell others to ignore her?
I know, it isn't real...!

Report
tribpot · 04/05/2013 09:21

It isn't real but I think it is meant to be semi realistic with regards to the music biz. I've enjoyed some of the back stage stuff particularly - I don't think you realise just how much work goes into a big tour like Rayna and Juliette's. I've been expecting to see one of them starting to give out from exhaustion - probably more likely Juliette than an old pro like Rayna - but as the artists they seem to have a relatively easy gig and now a month off? Nice.

How/why they perform in heels is still beyond me though. The only woman who can pull that off over a sustained period is surely the incredible Tina Turner.
