last week?

OP posts:
shufflehopstep · 20/06/2013 22:58

Shock Why would you keep something like that lying around the house??!!

GreatGretzky · 20/06/2013 23:05

Ohhh I am so not ready for next week! I thought the trailer showed a bit too much though.

This week...I loved the scene with Rayna, Deacon and the girls at her house, until Teddy turned up anyway. I have really had enough of him now!

Love Will more each week, I felt so sad for him when he was talking about how his Dad treated him.

At first I thought Juliette could get with Avery but now I'm wondering if he'll end up back with Scarlett. Grin at him sending her a whisk!

Poor Jolene...I'd seen that bit and knew it was coming but it still broke my heart! I wonder if she's done enough to destroy that SD card as well or will it be re-discovered at some point? But at least there's no chance of Dante returning!

stringbean · 20/06/2013 23:14

I'm really Shock at the prospect of next week! So the paternity thing will out....

But I can't help feeling that a sex tape on the internet would be less of a scandal than the 'drug-fuelled mom murders daughter's ex-lover' story that will now do the rounds.....

And Lordy!! What has Glenn done to his hair?? Is that why he's been away for a few weeks? It looks like it's been Ronsealed!

stringbean · 21/06/2013 07:26

And Jolene - another character we never really got a chance to explore, who's now gone.

Dante - well, who cares, eh?

So, next week we have Deacon falling off the wagon, a car crash (Deacon? Rayna? Shades of both his best friend and her mum?? Or someone else? A grief-stricken Juliette?). Am I alone in thinking it's all a bit soap opera cliche now?

Predictions for Season 2 anyone??

LittleAbruzzenBear · 21/06/2013 12:47

I like Will too.

I think Avery feels sorry for Juliette, but still loves Scarlett.

Silly Gunnar.

Well I was right about the paternity being found out, but I thought Deacon was going to find out first, not Maddie. What a mess.

Poor Jolene and Juliette.

tribpot · 21/06/2013 22:22

Predictions for series 2 - well, Scarlett's rise to stardom seems to be taking a bloody long time, given everyone keeps saying she and Gunnar are the 'real deal'. I wonder if she and Will could end up being partnered with Gunnar stuck in the back room as the writer?

Rayna and Juliette will still be on this bloody tour for most of series 2 I reckon - then what? Does Juliette dabble with a bit of acting? It'd be bloody nice if she could have 6 months off man-drama.

diddl · 22/06/2013 21:38

Will Avery join Juliette's band-& Rayna's if Deacon's not reliable??

I think Scarlett needs to steer clear of both Avery & Gunnar for a while as they've both treated her badly.

LittleAbruzzenBear · 24/06/2013 10:22

I think both Scarlett and Juliette need to forget men and sort their careers/selves out!

diddl · 24/06/2013 13:34

Anyone else watched the last ep?

Hayden Panettiere-bloody marvellous imo.

tribpot · 24/06/2013 19:12

Yes - I've been waiting for the final ep to air this week so as not to give away anything accidental. Although it sounds like there was a massive preview after this last one aired. Bloody good work from HP - I found the next ep particularly moving and a lot of that is down to her.

GreatGretzky · 24/06/2013 22:36

I watched the final when it aired in the US. Thought Hayden and Chip were both absolutely brilliant in it. There's one scene where I thought Scarlett was perfect too.

GreatGretzky · 24/06/2013 22:37

Clare not Scarlett Blush Always catch myself calling her by the character name!

Jjou · 25/06/2013 10:51

Watched the final ep a couple of weeks ago, and trying not to post too much on here so as not to spoiler anyone as I can't keep track of what's aired here.
Found a full version of Chip Esten singing 'Back Home' on youtube - another track only downloadable in the US - but have been listening to it every day...some of these other songs best be on the next soundtrack CD!!!

tribpot · 27/06/2013 19:56

Tonight's the night ... looking forward to being able to discuss the final ep.

GreatGretzky · 27/06/2013 21:45

Even though I know what's coming up I still feel strangely nervous! Keep having to remind myself it's just a tv show Blush

tribpot · 27/06/2013 22:38

I found this episode very emotional - for several days afterwards. I suspect partly because I've just been through the sudden death of a colleague and so it's all a bit too close to the surface, but the final song of the season really affected me.

Daisy0407 · 27/06/2013 22:43

Heartbreaking stuff! Deacon Hmm I too have to remind myself, this isn't real Smile

kansasmum · 27/06/2013 22:47

God it's Homeland all over again! What am I going to watch when Nashville finishes tonight?!

Have loved this series and annoy my kids by constantly playing the soundtracks!

Daisy0407 · 27/06/2013 23:03

That was really upsetting Hmm How will Rayna ever forgive Deacon? Not sure I would. Mind you, the way he looks, yeh I probably would Wink

GreatGretzky · 27/06/2013 23:10

I hate that ending! So many cliffhangers! I'm fairly certain that Deacon and Rayna will both get out without too much damage, physically at least...emotionally, it's gonna be a wreck. The scene where Scarlett, Gunnar and Coleman went to Deacon's house gives me goosebumps everytime. Perfect acting from all of them.

Juliette just broke my heart. I'd forgotten about her getting the SD card, I really thought that'd come up again next year!

Bet we see more of the guy in the bar with Will. An old ex, surely?

And Peggy...is it just me who doesn't believe that she's really pregnant? She's gotta be up to something.

Really, really hope Hayden and Chip get awards for this series, maybe Connie as well. They're just brilliant.

GreatGretzky · 27/06/2013 23:11

And that song at the end gets me everytime. Songs don't usually make me cry but that one comes close!

TreeMonkey · 28/06/2013 00:56

Wish I found this thread months ago! I don't know anyone else that's been watching Nashvile and no one to discuss it with...
Just finished the last episode - wow. Loved this series and the music. I really want to go to the Bluebird.

TreeMonkey · 28/06/2013 00:57

It may have been discussed up thread but does anyone have access to the episode about Deacon. Wikipeadia said that there was a special half way through the series but I don't think it was shown in the UK. Was it?

GreatGretzky · 28/06/2013 02:20

Tree I think it was more just a recap narrated by him. I haven't watched it but it is online on less legal official sites. I think it's name was 'Nashville: The Whole Story'

diddl · 28/06/2013 08:49

When Deacon walked out of the Blue Bird whilst Juliette was singing I was thinking FFS-just leave him alone.

Felt so pissed off with her-"but I want to talk to you" whiney, whiney, me, me, me.

And of course, she couldn't get a taxi for him or fetch someone else to drive.

Oh, no, had to drive him & wind him up even more.

OMG her character pisses me off.

Oh, that feels better!
