If not then consider this the start of the thread.

I think the wrong person went out last night. Poor girl, the guy they chose over her really got in by the skin of his teeth!

That was a great episode. I LOVE that chef from the Hand and Flowers. What a thoroughly lovely man.

Ollie did well but seemed out of his depth really. The other two - I can't choose between them. Do you reckon they will have a joint winner? I would hate to see either of them lose to be honest.

Michel Roux Sr is engaging isn't it.

Tonight's should be BRILLIANT - they're going to the Fat Duck.

I want to go to that Hand and Flowers place - where is it again?

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 12/12/2012 06:53

Isn't he

LittleAbruzzenBear · 12/12/2012 07:00

Poor Ollie. Sad. I did feel terribly for him. He looked so nervous the whole time, especially when he had to stand in front of everyone. My fav dish was Keri's, it looked so pretty and delicate on the plate, but I wanted to devour it nonetheless. Monica definitely did get teary when Keri spoke to the chefs. I think she was proud of them all.

Agree about Tom from the Hand & Flowers, lovely, lovely man. I want to go to his restaurant on that basis!

greenhill · 12/12/2012 07:35

getorf the Hand and Flowers is a 2 Michelin star pub / restaurant with accommodation in Marlow, Bucks. The website makes it look amazing (up thread somewhere)

I've got to watch that episode on iPlayer very soon, or I won't be able to watch the final "live".

catwithflowers · 12/12/2012 08:09

Anton to win Smile. This is the first final in years where I really like all three contestants.

YouCanBe · 12/12/2012 08:14

I think I want Keri to win now. But I could probably be swayed in the last episode. They are all nice and Anton and Keri are on a pretty level pegging.

Gracelo · 12/12/2012 09:46

I think Olli would have done better with that beef main dish he cooked at the start of the program. Going by the look on Michel's face when he ate it it must have been fab.

LittleAbruzzenBear · 12/12/2012 09:55

It's a shame really with Olli's dish. It just needed more seasoning and another element to bring a different texture, but then I guess at that level he should have thought of that. He is only 21 though and was very nervous. If only those chefs had had his raviolo for a starter, it could have been so different. I will not mention that raviolo any more, except to say that I am going to have a go at making it over Xmas.

I would be happy with any of them winning.

Poledra · 12/12/2012 10:04

Tom Kerridge is lovely, but did anyone see him on the Great British Food Revival? He took cured ham and fried it in butter. Tom, mate, if you're reading this, you're heading for a heart attack before you're 50 Xmas Shock

'Twas a fantastic episode of Food Revival, BTW, as it had the fabulous Monica on it talking about asparagus, one of 4-yo DD3's favourite veggies. Champagne tastes, my girl Xmas Grin

Gracelo · 12/12/2012 10:13

I missed Monday's episode. What was inside that raviolo?

Wilts · 12/12/2012 10:19

I want Kerri to win, although I am not sure there is much between her and Anton.

Loving Tom Kerridge and am hankering after a visit to the hand and flowers now..

Jux · 12/12/2012 10:31

Personally, I think Heston's an idiot, so I'm not particularly interested in tonight's, though I will watch of course!

We thought it was hilarious that the contestants were being sent to a restaurant which was closed down for poisoning people (OK, that was a while ago, but which other Michelin starred chef can make that claim?). Grin

LittleAbruzzenBear · 12/12/2012 10:52

White truffle, mashed potato and egg yolk Gracelo.

Gracelo · 12/12/2012 11:46

Oooh, I'd like that raviolo too. Emily (???) on normal Masterchef a few years back did something similar.

SugaricePlumFairy · 12/12/2012 11:55

Another huge Tom Kerridge fan here!

He seems so genuine and unaffected by his talent unlike some of the other arsey chefs we see on the telly.

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 12/12/2012 13:49

That Hand and Flowers website looks amazing. I wanna go!

It makes a change for chefs not to be egomaniac morons. Michel"s brother Alain looked very sweet as well.

For a 21 year old chef de partie Oli is very impressive. I think he is probably too little experienced against keri and anton. Ireally want them BOTH to win.

I think Heston comes across as a knob on telly but I think his food looks extraordinary - it will be a fabulous experience for the chefs.

What am I going to watch when this, the Killing AND Homeland finishes soon?

I will have to do some fucking christmas shopping then.[Grin]

PseudoBadger · 12/12/2012 20:08

Couldn't they get Heston??

expatinscotland · 12/12/2012 20:15

You couldn't pay me to eat at that boaktastic Fat Duck.

Glittertwins · 12/12/2012 20:20

We're watching, very strong finalists this year. I quite fancy trying the Hand & Flowers as it isn't far and a friend has recommended it too. I'm not keen on HB's cooking of way out things though.

Gracelo · 12/12/2012 20:20

It's too much faffing about with food for me. I work in a lab, I don't want to centrifuge my food as well. I have made ice cream with liquid nitrogen before, that was pretty good.

Minichristmas · 12/12/2012 20:30

Is it all frozen stuff? My teeth would it cope. Where's the custard?

Minichristmas · 12/12/2012 20:30

Wouldn't

Minichristmas · 12/12/2012 21:02

I am disappointed. Just seemed like a big advert for the fat duck. Not impressed.
