I'm looking at signing up to either of the above. Im not sure if theres anything else like it where i can download tv series and films but they're the only 2 i've heard of. My friend swears by Netflix where films are concerned (i only want it for the films) whereas my other friend swears by Lovefilm.

Looking at the prices, Lovefilm is cheaper after the first month, however, its selection isnt huge, unlike netflix. However, Netflix is more expensive per month. I'm new to all this and will be using my laptop for the films not the tv. HELP.

I think you would, I did that but you get a free trial, if I remember right for the trial you just enter an email address.

Yay, it finally worked, I'm in!

Funny you say about True Blood not being there, I could have sworn I had seen it on UK Netflix in the summer - but it was on my 'possible' lists so I hadn't bothered watching it.

Maybe they've taken it off because it's had a bit of a resurgence in popularity? More money to be made in DVD box set sales perhaps?

Thank you for your help Schro x

VAMPIRE DIARIES IS THERE!!!!!!!!

There you go, sorted.

Another one that I never watched but has been recommended to me.

I am a bit concerned about my obsession with all things Vampiric!

SchrodingersMew · 20/10/2012 18:01

Perhaps because I am sure it was there!

Glad you got it sorted and forgot there was loads of vampire diaries! Teen Wolf was there too before. :)

Obsessed with vampyric stuff as well, Breaking Dawn part 2 next month!!

Enjoy! :) x

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains · 20/10/2012 18:35

Oh, I watched most of Teen Wolf but missed the last 4ish episodes of series 1.

thanks again!

(sorry OP for hijacking your post!!)

SchrodingersMew · 20/10/2012 18:41

Yes, sorry OP!

I've just signed up for the free month for both netflix and lovefilm with the intention of keeping the best one. We've signed up for streaming only on lovefilm but if we choose that one will probably upgrade to include dvds.

After two days, the DC are sold on netflix because lovefilm won't load properly via the xbox. I haven't had time to watch anything yet. The selection looks better to me on lovefilm. I'll be watching this thread with interest and reporting back.

SchrodingersMew · 20/10/2012 18:55

Plenty You should try the American one, it has a whole extra Netflix for kids.
Really easy on the xbox as well.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 20/10/2012 18:58

I don't know if the American one is different but when our version came up on screen it said there was a kids one. The DC are 17 and 20 though Grin

SchrodingersMew · 20/10/2012 19:03

Ahhh they wont like the kids one so much then! The US one has about 10 times the amount of stuff. I have already converted at least 1 person on this thread. :o

BrianCoxIsEatingBrains · 20/10/2012 20:52

there is a separate kids netflix on the UK site - but there is different stuff on the US version, from what I can see.

Am being made to watch X Factor, am joining in whole heartedly but feel my running cynical commentary is not going down well with DD!

GhostShip · 21/10/2012 09:30

I'm currently googling ways of switching to the american one...
