Netflix, Lovefilm.....

I'm looking at signing up to either of the above. Im not sure if theres anything else like it where i can download tv series and films but they're the only 2 i've heard of. My friend swears by Netflix where films are concerned (i only want it for the films) whereas my other friend swears by Lovefilm.

Looking at the prices, Lovefilm is cheaper after the first month, however, its selection isnt huge, unlike netflix. However, Netflix is more expensive per month. I'm new to all this and will be using my laptop for the films not the tv. HELP.

I can't work out how long you are tied in for, it doesn't make it clear. It goes on about taking a payment holiday though - which is clear as mud!

If I can work out how Schroedinger's system works and get it up and running then I shall be happily Netflixing my way through the series so may just cancel BB anyway.

What was it you said about watching series back to back, things get a bit weird? Yep, that's me - I am a TB junky. I love finding a good series to get my teeth into (pun intended) Grin

Kek You can cancel lovefilm online and if you try and cancel they offer you at least a month free to try and keep you with them.

I have watched Dexter up to the series which ended with THE BATH SCENE (don't want to spoil in case anybody hasn't). So I think I am 2 series behind.

I love Dexter.

Also NCIS, again am about 2 series behind.

Never got into CSI though - tried but it never caught me.

We have lovefilm and only in the last few weeks has the discs got slow. Though the postal service here has also got worse in the last few weeks so they could be connected Hmm

Going to get the free trial of Netflix but the 'look what we have page doesn't have anything I've not seen (& would want to). Also our streaming can be slow.

I would use blockbuster in store as we pass it every day but I can't get in as it's up a flight of stairs Hmm

Kek There's Amazon TV on the American xbox thing. It's free if you have Prime. Maybe it's connected?

Amazon took over ages ago, they improved then as there were loads in unavailable due to unpaid bills.

I've done the DNS bit, no problems - has connected.

I can't get Netflix to load though, even though I have 'erased' the old account.

It loads up and then just stays blank (with the logo top left hand corner)

but if True Blood isn't there then what's the point!????

Did you restart the Wii? You have to do that with the xbox so I think you would have to do it with the Wii.

I'm sorry, it was there before but there is a crap load of other stuff there too. :( x

Tell me if it works, if not I will try to help. My cable is too far from my Wii to try and set it up though and don't have an adapter for that but I will try as best as I can. :)

It seems you need to enter an email address here, I had to do that with the Xbox with this site as well, don't worry I used that site for months with no problems.
