How repetitive. Is she/isn't she etc.

Well, looks like early posters on this thread were right and we don't have to go through another Barlow PG.

Just another dreadfully contrived storyline.

whatkungfuthat · 20/10/2012 09:39

Do we think that Gail is right about the scam?

lighthousekeeping · 20/10/2012 10:18

Oh, someone fill me in I'm away!!

Tracey and invisible Amy have moved into Michelle's at Steve's suggestion. Steve suspects Tracey is scamming as there is no loved-up stuff with Ryan when she thinks no one is watching so he pretend-dumped Michelle. It isn't clear whether Michelle was in on the dumping. Meanwhile Tracey admitted to Beth that there is no baby and that she is just doing it to wind up Steve and Michelle.

Diane from Crossroads has appeared saying that Lewis stole 10k from her 5 years ago and that he got off the eurostar because she was on it. He has since turned up and wanted Horseface to run off with him. She considered it and even left the keys to the salon for Ratboy. Gail, Ratboy and the other one all went round Horseface's to talk her out of it but she had already decided not to go and had called Diane from Crossroads to give her the money back. Gail suspects its a scam cooked up between Diane from Crossroads and Lewis.

Grin whatkung

carabos · 20/10/2012 11:08

I said as soon as Miss Diane appeared that it has to be a scam.

alemci · 20/10/2012 12:03

also does Lewis's new flame have a coordinating headband for every outfit? I am glad he gave that Jenna a good talking to last night. Shame he can't do the same to awful Kirsty.

legohamster · 20/10/2012 13:33

Think I may have missed an episode somewhere in the week, but if Audrey hadn't reported Lewis missing to the papers would Miss Diane have turned up or not? Still seems like a scam to me except for this.

chipstick10 · 20/10/2012 14:14

I dont watch corrie anymore, well i dip in occasionally and i cant believe Miss Diane has turned up. I must dip in again and take a look.

alemci · 20/10/2012 14:31

I mean LLoyds new flame not Lewis

lighthousekeeping · 22/10/2012 19:05

I do reckon kylie is going to make a play for Nick.

whatkungfuthat · 23/10/2012 07:37

Where is Leanne? You would think with Mary taking all Nick's business that she'd get round there and and cause a row.

YouOldSlag · 23/10/2012 14:15

Good question. Where did Leanne go?

MurielTheActor · 23/10/2012 18:26

Leanne popped in the other night.
Apparently all going to go a bit Home and Away on Friday (DD used to watch it, honest!) and more hospital scenes YAWN!

More Kirsty and her vendetta against Fizz please - there will be blood...

StacFace · 24/10/2012 10:28

I'm not really keen on yet another pregnancy either but I just wanted to say you can't really say Kate Ford is a bad actress because Tracy is so overdramatic/ott/obviously fake etc because she's supposed to be. Tracy is a 'drama queen' and the whole idea of the storyline is that Tracy is trying to get back at Steve so pretends to love Ryan and he believes her because he's young and naiive. If she was actually supposed to have fallen for him then I could understand these complaints about bad acting but as it is it just seems some people are completely forgetting the point and believe she seriously fell for him.

Also I remember reading that Jane Danson (Leanne) went on a break so that's probably why you haven't seen her, though even ignoring that I disagree that you'd think she'd be round talking to Mary because of her taking Nick's business. Remember she's with him for Simon to have a family etc and not because she actually loves him so it wouldn't make sense for her to get so worked up about it, ok maybe not use the cafe and say something if prompted but I wouldn't find it believable if she went round there specifically to have a go like I would if say Kylie did so.

Nancy66 · 24/10/2012 10:55

I think something is brewing between Nick and Kylie

YouOldSlag · 24/10/2012 11:30

But Stacface, Janine Butcher is a similar panto baddie character but Charlie Brooks manages to pull it off. I think Tracy is a badly written character and played unrealistically, even though I totally get that the character is play acting if you see what I mean. All that gurning and all those villainous laughs are just ridiculous and Kate Ford could do a much better job if you ask me.

whatkungfuthat · 24/10/2012 15:40

The lines that Tracey has that are supposed to be off the cuff are so clunky they are pathetic.

YouOldSlag · 24/10/2012 15:50

Agreed whatkungfuthat. It spoils scenes she is in as everyone else delivers well written lines in a naturalistic style and Tracy ruins the suspension of disbelief with all the clunky soapy panto dialogue delivered woodenly with the kind of fake villain's grin not seen since Grotbags the witch..

It's as if I can look at scene and say there's Ken, there's Deirdre and there's an actress playing Tracey.
