Just typed out a very excitable post only to find the previous thread, on which I was an avid lurker, had exceeded it's capacity. So if you don't mind, I'll start the overflow thread in the lead up to the Grand Final.

Not fair to keep tasting different cakes, though.

John's cake was everything I love in a cake. Chocolate and also lemon. Wow. It's got to be Brendan surely? James can't possibly do it now . .

Luckily, I'm quite happy whoever wins.

Really as PH is saying Brendan is the man for technical ability aand knowledge.

The only thing that has pulled him back has been his forays into cuteness andn 70s retro, which is a matter of taste rather than skill anyway, so iit has to be him.

Really hoping John might swing it now James has blown it. I'm not a Brendan fan, sorry. But I guess it IS going to be him, and then he can look smug & lord it over them all, like he clearly wants to...

I didn't think the judges wanted Brendan to win.. Good on John, he deserved it (altho James was my fave)

I'm afraid Brendan lost it for me for just wanting it TOO much. I always veer towards the underdog.
