Why oh why oh why does everyone wear the same clothes for the second day of baking? Why?

Is it a lie? Are they really only baking for one day?

Everyone from Mel, Sue (who I adore by the way) and Paul and Mary, and all the bakers are wearing the identical outfit the next day and I don't get it!

Surely at least some of them would change something, like their t shirt the next day, do none of them spill stuff on their sleeves and NEED to change!?

I realise this is totally beside the point of this brilliant programme and it is my favourite thing on telly at the minute, but this really bugs me!

But in the last but one programme we got to see that lovely jumper of the Scottish doctor's for the entire time!

I was most upset that he did not wear a jumper or cardi last week
I've baked a cheesecake from the book, yesterday, for later, and I think it's a bit disastrous, just like the cake I made was!

I've also noticed this on Location, Location, Location too, its like a conspiracy!

Sorry to hear your cheesecake didnt turn out well NettoSuperstar, I cannot let myself buy the book, it would just be an excuse to try every recipe - The Hairy Bikers diet book is the one I should be getting!

Haha! If you look at James blog he has written why they had to wear the same clothes. Something to do with continuity.

So they can film the little chatty bits (like the bakers discussing how they think they are doing) at any point & then slot it in anywhere.

Hilary Devey said that she ended up wearing the same jacket for Dragon's Den as she didn't realise they filmed everyone in the same outfits the whole series so they could choose how to edit it.

Yes it's continuity. They might get a reaction in day 2, that they think would work when put together with an incident on day one e.g Cathryn looks shocked by Paul's comment on day one but they miss it. On day two she looks shocked by something else so they could use this clip to fit in with with day 1. Things like that.

I had wondered this too but assumed it was so they could mix and match shots and reactions etc but after the stress of a day's baking under that pressure they must be a bit wiffy on day two ...

why do they take mary and thing into the tent for the secret challenge then say " sorry you have to leave"? i mean why not just say dont come
