Looks good so far. Sad though.

Think they use the same police set as Luther Grin

gazzalw · 31/08/2012 09:33

We love Luther too although it's a very 'mad, bad and dangerous to know' type of drama...

We end up watching all the thriller, police drama things and it wasn't the case five or ten years ago -seems to be that most of the dramas are oriented that way these days. After reading the thread about the scariest films/TV series etc...from our youth, wonder why horror stuff seems to have fallen so majorly from grace?

AmIthatbad · 31/08/2012 16:24

gazz I'm old enough Sad

Pretty sure he was Gail from Corrie's OH in real life, for years

gazzalw · 31/08/2012 16:38

Yes, think he was - think he's better as a silver fox than he was in his youth!

HalleLouja · 31/08/2012 18:12

I saw Gail from Corrie on the tube today. She seemed polite and is really petite. Random fact.

I think you are right, Redline.

It was gripping viewing.

mosschops30 · 31/08/2012 20:02

We caught this by accident, now on the planner for next week.
Really enjoyed, great to have some new drama

AGreenie · 31/08/2012 21:18

Goodness me, I thought it was Indra Ove. But it was Leah hackett - she looks really different from her hollyoaks days!

HalleLouja · 31/08/2012 21:44

Leah Hackett isn't in it until episodes 3 and 4 imdb.

Cot death mum.

HalleLouja · 31/08/2012 22:06

She was in the Lakes. That was mental / awesome. I used to love it.

OP posts:
AGreenie · 31/08/2012 22:31

Ohh yes, it is Emma Cunniffe, I think I must have always confused her with the one from interview with a vampire.... Loved the lakes - watched the DVD box set at 2 episodes a night about 5 years ago - so many great actors!

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 03/09/2012 22:33

Just watched it, and thought it was really good, but also found it quite brutal/disturbing. Same as someone said upthread, get much more upset by stuff like this now I have DD. will still be watching next episode though!

HalleLouja · 04/09/2012 22:03

I am really looking forwards to the next episode too. It makes a change from a lot of the other stuff on. Even though it is a cop show.

What do we reckon to tonight's (Thurs) episode. I thought it was really good again. Although how did GC not think about whether the baddie could have recorded him talking about money etc?

SuperB0F · 07/09/2012 00:19

A lot of the locations are very local to me (the beach, for example). I was hooting at his ex saying to meet her in Dale St in half an hour's time. You'd have to fly to be able to do that from where they were...and have the Parking Gods smile on you like never before Grin.

HalleLouja · 07/09/2012 09:14

I used to work in Liverpool and live in Chester. I loved it up there. I even worked in the Liver Building.

I haven't watched this episode so will keep off the thread until I have.

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 07/09/2012 09:26

He makes a cops job look exciting doesn't he? I'm sure it's a lot more mundane than that.

member · 11/09/2012 10:08

Just caught up on this, love it & glad the beardy creep has had his comeuppance!

gazzalw · 12/09/2012 21:48

His death was rather horrid though wasn't it...even for your arch nemesis it was not a good death...;-(

HalleLouja · 14/09/2012 22:11

No one died in this episode.

OP posts:
HalleLouja · 15/09/2012 07:30

I meant to add more but was half asleep. I was convinced he might have killed the other baddy or the guy who lived above the shop. But it didn't seem to happen. Only one more episode to go.

HalleLouja? He Will get the other gang member (Jonjo Heinz was it?) I Think he tried/is trying to set Him up to take the fall for the first 2 executions by him (Good Cop/Bad Assassin) but as it looked likely by the end of the episode that said baddie was going to "get away with it" or at least he got out of jail without charges? I suspect retribution in the form of another bullet for said 3rd Gang Member isn't far around the corner next week or to put it another way? I doubt the 'Next Time' Trailer showed the Good Cop hiding in Heinz' house again with the gun at the ready this time in order to welcome him home & bake him cakes;

As to the bloke above the shop? I think he's taking a leaf out of my exes book & playing headgames/mindfcking him until he's so confused about just who he saw that night (of 2nd killing)? That his evidence is unreliable - Quite a clever ploy actually & just what you'd expect from a cop who knows How* to taint evidence/discredit witnesses - will it work? We shall see...................

Anyway, the thing that puzzles me? That gun Had Four bullets when it showed him loading it in the first episode didn't it? So why only Three gang members? Or was there more & I missed one? Can't remember & Feel old/my age now Confused How time flies when you're not looking............. Sad. Oh well - The Final Episode & ending next week should be good whatever happens & me? Well, let's just say I suspect "that Bstard Heinz" as the GC called him this week? Will* get his soon enough...........

Redline · 16/09/2012 07:33

Anyway a good programme IMO - look forward to the bitter end final episode next week. Should be good.

gazzalw · 16/09/2012 07:35

Maybe the fourth bullet will be for himself ;-( - once he has dispensed justice there will be no way out for Sav will there?

Redline · 16/09/2012 08:01

Very good point gazzalw - Never thought of that one. Mind you? He might easily be keeping it for whoever that bloke is whose playing daddy to his daughter or even his dad to put him out of his pain? As to "no way out"? Possibly - he's a copper like Dexter is a forensic pathologist don't forget & if anyone can get away with murder? It's those two professions. But seriously? Was I imagining things or was there more than 3 in that gang in Episode 1? There was at least five of them wasn't there? Or am I going mad in my old age again? Probably no doubt - lol decrepit & drooling at 34. The joys of senility senior citizenship; I dunno, I can hardly wait............Wink
