Evening ladies.. Are we gathering for our midwives fix? I'm dying for some sleep but don't want to miss it

I actually didn't mind being on the ward with other women. It's quite nice to have the company outside of visiting hours. Admittedly nights aren't much fun though :o

ImPeppaPigOink · 28/08/2012 21:22

:( I think I might have to switch off, I'm 17weeks pregnant.

PatFenis · 28/08/2012 21:22

Ah I see, I was born in Liverpool - Fazackerly in 1972, Arrowe Park opened in 1982 :)

PatFenis · 28/08/2012 21:24

I was exactly the same as the woman with 4 children in that I was so looking forward to my mini-break when I had dc3. Was so pissed off when they chucked me out after 24 hours after 3rd c-section. The midwife in Bath didn't see the funny side of my request for a mini break.

The midwifes in this episode seem lovely.

ImPeppaPigOink · 28/08/2012 21:25

DP has said they not showing the 20week pregnancy. So it's safe to watch for now.

MrsCampbellBlack · 28/08/2012 21:26

Pickles - how many weeks are you?

Pickles77 · 28/08/2012 21:30

I'm 35+4 I think Confused

My mum was Claire- I was born at 30 weeks @ 3lbs

thekidsrule · 28/08/2012 21:32

poor claire

MrsCampbellBlack · 28/08/2012 21:32

How exicting Pickles - I love newborn babies.

Oh that baby is sooo tiny.

My middle child was in NICU but at 7.5lbs was twice the size of most of the babies

Pickles77 · 28/08/2012 21:33

Poor Claire hope she's okay

MrsCampbellBlack · 28/08/2012 21:33

Poor Claire indeed - I was sooo sick after all my c-sections.

ImPeppaPigOink · 28/08/2012 21:34

Poor Claire.

Pickles77 · 28/08/2012 21:34

Yes thank you mrsCB I'd be excited if I could shrug off the sickness & UTI. And if she would move her head slightly off
My bladder it would be fab! Grin

OP posts:
MrsCampbellBlack · 28/08/2012 21:35

Armi · 28/08/2012 21:37

Poor Claire. I puked and puked and thought it would never stop after my CS. Horrible.

CaptainHetty · 28/08/2012 21:38

Ohh you're due just before me Pickles, I'm 35+2 . Mine's still got her feet in my bladder, though...

Hope you feel better soon :)

emsyj · 28/08/2012 21:38

I had DD at this hospital - the private rooms are a nice idea, but it gets lonely after a while! And the food is appalling. Care is hit and miss...

Looking forward to watching on iPlayer later this evening - am currently booked to have DC2 there but feeling uneasy about it after DD, who knows this show may seal the deal one way or the other!!!

NellyBluth · 28/08/2012 21:39

Ditto, MrsCB - DD was 8.1lbs and could be picked up, I think the NICU nurses were secretly quite happy to have a baby they could cuddle and interact with. Must make a relief for them from all the very poorly babies they have there.

Pickles77 · 28/08/2012 21:41

Ooo hetty are you on the sept thread? I re found it today Wink.
Ewww hospital food.
Hollys make up stays very intact! Smile
